Zatchels – White Ditsy Floral Micro Satchel Review

I love the current trend for satchels, I used to have a traditional brown leather-trimmed canvas one as my schoolbag when I was very young, but I adore the vibrant colours and patterns that they are available in now.
Last Summer I purchased my first modern satchel from Zatchels – a UK company that promotes traditional British manufacturing, every satchel ordered is made to order in Leicester from high quality leather. When I saw that Zatchels were having a Summer sale I was very excited, I was planning to order an 11.5 inch floral one but unfortunately they all sold out before I got a chance to order. I then noticed that there was a new limited edition smaller Micro-Satchel available (7 inches wide) in the half-price sale and I wasn’t going to let this one get away!
I ordered the White Ditsy Floral Micro Satchel (it’s also available with a purple background) and I just LOVE IT! It fastens at the front with two magnetic buckles, features an adjustable strap and has a small pocket at the front which will easily house a lipstick or pocket mirror. The real vintage leather is still really stiff as it’s new, but it will soften over the years with use.
I do think that Zatchels satchels have a high price tag, but it’s the price you pay for quality British craftsmanship and if you can get one in the sale then all the better! All products come packaged in a Zatchels dust bag which will keep the satchels safe and clean when they’re not being used (which won’t be much of the time with this one!).
I have a weekend away in London planned in August, with a friend, and I will be taking my White Ditsy Floral Micro Satchel with me to take out in an evening, it will easily hold a small purse, phone, keys and lipstick.
If you like satchels then I urge you to check out the Zatchels sale while it’s on, as there are so many bags currently half price (they also do backpacks, totes and barrel bags too if you’re not too fond of satchels!).
