Yardley – English Rose Deodorising Body Fragrance

You may have already read yesterday’s post in which I show off the goodies that I received in my Latest in Beauty Editor’s Picks collection box. I was truly impressed with the box and couldn’t wait to start trying out the products inside. The first item I have tried out is this English Rose Deodorising Body Fragrance from Yardley.
Yardley is a longstanding and very traditional brand, in fact I have just been reading on their website that the House of Yardley was born in England in the mid-seventeenth century, during the reign of King Charles 1. Now there’s not many cosmetics brands that have been around that long!
This Deodorising Body Fragrance has a light and refreshing spray with a very traditional strong smell of rose. Unfortunately rose isn’t one of my favourite fragrances and I find the fragrance of this product rather old fashioned and a bit overpowering. But if the scent of rose is one of your favourites then it would definitely be worth checking out this spray from Yardley.
Deodorising Body Fragrance is available in 6 other traditional fragrances, including Lavender and Lily of the Valley. I would like to see Yardley do something a bit more up to date, sticking with floral scents but perhaps something a bit more modern.
English Rose Deodorising Body Spray is priced at £2.49 for 75ml, available from Yardley. Please note Yardley can only ship aerosols to UK addresses.

If you’re looking for a light fragrance that’s a bit more modern then I can highly recommend Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Eau de Parfum which I reviewed here.
