Vichy Aqualia Thermal Power Serum Review

I’m quite partial to a serum, especially when it promises super hydration. I have combination skin, and my forehead and cheeks can get very dry particularly in cold weather, so I’m always on the lookout for something that will rehydrate my skin. This Aqualia Thermal Power Serum from Vichy contains three hydrating sugars which helps to hold water inside the skin for up to 48 hours, thus helping prevent dehydration.

Skin is composed of 70% water and it’s the body’s barrier between you and the environment. Over the course of the day your skin can lose water, and dehydration can cause small wrinkles to appear and make skin start to look dull.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Power Serum Benefits

I’ve been using Vichy Aqualia Thermal Power Serum for around 2 weeks now, applying it at night before I go to bed. It’s a white milky serum with a gentle floral scent and you only need one squirt to cover the whole face. You apply it before your regular moisturiser and it feels silky on your skin, it’s a real luxury to apply.

My forehead and cheeks have definitely felt less flaky and dry since I’ve been using this Vichy serum but it doesn’t make the other areas of my face feel more oily as it focuses on restoring the water in your skin and not adding oil. I really enjoy applying it too as it feels really nice on the skin and fingers.

I also really like the blue glass bottle, it reminds me of a precious jewel!

Although Power Serum is aimed at those with dry and dehydrated skin it can be used by any skin type and it’s really gentle so I think it would be ok for those with sensitive skin too.

Power Serum is just one product in a full Aqualia Thermal range, other products include 2 moisturisers and an eye roll-on.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Power Serum is priced at £18.75 for 30ml, available from Boots.
