Urban Decay – 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Covet

I am a massive fan of Urban Decay cosmetics, they have funky packaging, great palettes and I love the use of sparkle, glimmer and glitter within their products. Plus Urban Decay is a member of Cruelty Free International, meaning that they have acquired the ‘Leaping Bunny’ stamp and their products are not tested on animals.
24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils come in such a wide range of bright colours, and they can also sometimes be purchased in limited edition colour-coordinated mini collections. This review is just looking at the shade called Covet (more recently re-named Junkie), a brilliant emerald green colour with a lovely shimmer. If you want to find out more about the other colours available then check out my other review of these amazing eye pencils.
I really love the green colour and I think it goes well with my blue eyes. 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils all have a lovely velvety soft texture meaning they are really easy to apply, plus they are waterproof and really long lasting, they don’t smudge at all when you are wearing them, but remove really easily with make-up remover or a creamy cleanser.
I like to wear Covet all along my upper lash line, then just on the outer corners of my lower lash line and out into a short flick. You can also blend the colour as soon as you have applied it using a cotton bud if you want something a bit more subtle, but do this quickly as the colour ‘sets’ after a minute or so and then will not budge.
I think it looks best with just a coat of black mascara to set it off, but you could go for something a bit more dramatic and perhaps pair it with a grey shadow. I really want to have a go at creating a multi-jewel-coloured eye look using these Urban Decay eye pencils, perhaps a mix of emerald green, sapphire blue and vibrant purple.
It doesn’t go well with pinky shades, so it’s best to wear a bit of bronzer and a nude lip with this Covet green eye pencil, rather than pink blush and lipstick.
As I mentioned earlier there is no longer a shade called Covet, but check out Junkie which is pretty much the same emerald green shade.
24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils are priced at £15.50 each, from Urban Decay. There are over 40 shades to choose from so there is something to suit everyone. I guess they’re not cheap, but they’re such great quality and the pigmentation is amazing. I’d always go for an Urban Decay pencil over something cheaper!
