Paul & Joe Beaute Protecting Pressed Powder Sailor Cat Review

Every now and then you come across a beauty product that you just HAVE to have, but it’s too amazing to actually use…. and this Protecting Pressed Powder from Paul & Joe Beaute is one of those products!

Paul & Joe Beaute Protecting Pressed Powder Sailor Cat

OK, so I’m a cat lover, I have two cats of my own and although I’m not quite a mad old cat lady yet I do enjoy quirky things with cat prints on them. The blue and red sailor cat print on the top of the pressed powder compact and on the matching drawstring pouch is simply stunning and oh so cute.

Right, enough about cats and onto the actual product itself…

Paul & Joe Beaute Protecting Pressed Powder

Protecting Pressed Powder is a limited edition product that came out a month or two ago and it comes in two shades – Lavender which aims to improve the complexion, and Nude Beige (which I chose) that will enhance any skin tone. The powder is extremely fine and helps to control shine and minimise pores by diffusing light, plus it contains SPF25 to protect skin from the sun too. Ingredients include Sunflower Seed Oil and Rosemary Extract to help keep the skin shine free, plus a blend of Jojoba Oil, Orange Flower Water and White Lily Extract which helps to hydrate the skin.

Now I admit I haven’t used this powder very much since buying it as it’s just so beautiful and I don’t want to damage the flower design that imprinted into the top of the powder, but above is a swatch image so you can see what it looks like on the skin. It’s quite light and illuminating, it’s been developed to complement most skintones although it wouldn’t be great if your skin is dark.

Paul & Joe Beaute Protecting Pressed Powder Close Up

As with all Paul & Joe Beaute products the unique designs and decoration perfectly complement the high quality product and ingredients, and whilst their products aren’t cheap I find that they’re always worth the money. I absolutely LOVE this cat-themed Protecting Pressed Powder (if you hadn’t already guessed) and I’m already saving up for their Autumn 2015 Café Parisien Collection that features lipsticks with a cat face on the end…. swoon!

Paul & Joe Beaute Limited Edition Protecting Pressed Powder in Nude Beige is priced at £28 with FREE delivery from ASOS.

  1. I too am a total sucker for Paul & Joe: I kept the cat-print box one of their nail polishes came in for AGES because it was too adorable to throw out. But the products are too good to NOT use, I’ve got a wee fox-printed nude eyeshadow palette that lives in my daily makeup bag and is the perfect selection of colours.

    • I’m so looking forward to their Autumn collection, there’s loads of animal prints coming out plus cat-shaped lipsticks! xx

  2. It’s probably a really good thing that Paul & Joe isn’t available near me because that packaging gets me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Cats + makeup? YES PLEASE.
