Thierry Mugler – Alien Radiant Body Cream

If you are a regular reader of Beauty Best Friend you may have read a previous post about a favourite perfume of mine – Alien by Thierry Mugler. Alien is a mysterious, dark scent containing Sambac jasmine, Cashmeran wood and white amber and I always get comments on it wherever I go. So I was extremely pleased when I received this Alien Radiant Body Cream* to try out.
Alien Radiant Body Cream comes in a large square purple jar with gold accents – it looks like a huge gemstone and it is very heavy! It comes with a little purple spatula that you can use to scoop the thick body cream out of the jar. The scent of the Radiant Body Cream is a gentler version of the Alien perfume, but it is still fairly strong and it gives a lovely warm aroma after it has been on your warm skin for some time.
The Radiant Body Cream is really thick and creamy and it contains a lovely golden shimmer. It is great for Summer evenings – just apply a small amount on collarbones, shoulders, down the front of the legs… anywhere you want a lovely glow (it looks particularly great on tanned skin). For Winter you can apply more liberally to give a lovely subtle golden sparkle. The product’s moisturising properties are good too, it leaves the skin feeling nourished and hydrated, although it can take a while to rub into the skin due it being so thick.
The swatch image below clearly shows the little golden sparkles.
Alien Radiant Body Cream is priced at £44 for 200ml so it’s not cheap, but it is really luxurious and a little goes a long way with this body cream, available from Thierry Mugler. Alternatively you can often get small samples of Radiant Body Cream in Alien gift sets, particularly around Christmas time, so if you want to try it out before you splurge on a full size pot, have a look out for these.
