The Body Shop Christmas Blog Event

There are few brands do Christmas as full-on as The Body Shop and their festive fragrances are amazing so I was looking forward to getting into the Christmas spirit and trying out some new products.
We were welcomed into the store with a glass of bubbly and a festive cupcake, then the Store Manager started off by giving us a quick overview of how the evening would run and then told us about this year’s three Christmas fragrances – Frosted Plum, Frosted Cranberry and Glazed Apple. We were then split into two groups and given a tour of the latest new products from The Body Shop.
The first range we looked at was the new Oils Of Life, I already reviewed these skincare products here when they launched.
Next up we got to try out some of the new Christmas make-up. I think people often forget that The Body Shop offer make-up but there were some great products including the new Sparkler body glitters and a brand new collection of nail polishes. I also got chance to have silver glitter eyeliner applied, I felt very glam!
Following an overview of The Body Shop skincare products I had a relaxing hand and arm treatment using Frosted Cranberry Sugar Scrub and Body Butter. I love Frosted Cranberry, it’s my favourite of the three festive fragrances, it’s warming and fruity and uplifting.
We were also told about Water Aid which is the charity that The Body Shop is supporting this Christmas. For every specially selected gift sold by The Body Shop this festive season, they make a contribution of 4.4p which can provide an Ethiopian family with a day’s supply of safe water
I was really impressed with the range of Christmas gifts that were available, my favourite was this Lippy Star Wand pictured above. There was something for every budget too, with gifts starting from just £5, and loads of great offers such as ‘Buy one get one half price’ on bodycare.
Every blogger who attended the evening was given a goody bag to go home with, here’s what was inside:
Inside my goody bag there was a cute gift bag containing a Frosted Cranberry Shower Gel and mini Body Butter, I was really pleased as Frosted Cranberry is my favourite of the 3 Christmas fragrances. I did think that I might give this little gift bag to someone as a stocking filler at Christmas… but on second thoughts I think I might keep it myself!
I also treated myself to some more goodies from The Body Shop Christmas range while I was at the event, including a Frosted Cranberry Scented Candle, Frosted Plum Home Fragrance Oil and two lip balms in Glazed Apple and Frosted Cranberry.
I absolutely adore the Frosted Cranberry scent (have I mentioned that before!?) and these candles are such great value at just £10. I’m saving it until December 1st when it will fill my lounge with festive berry scent.
I’m a big one for home fragrance and I couldn’t resist this Frosted Plum Home Fragrance Oil. Last Christmas I reviewed the Frosted Cranberry Home Fragrance Oil so I thought I’d try a different fragrance this year. At just £4 I think these are great value and they last a long time as you only need a couple of drops in your oil burner each time.
These two festive lip balms will make perfect stocking fillers and are also great value at just £4 each.
I definitely enjoyed my evening at The Body Shop, Coppergate, York. The staff were so lovely and friendly and they knew absolutely everything about all the products, their origins and ingredients. I’d really urge you to check out their festive gifts, there’s something for everyone and to suit every budget!
