The best value make-up brushes around?

I’m a sucker for make-up brushes, I have jars full of them on my dressing table and still I can’t resist more! Particularly when they’re cruelty free, vegan friendly, handcrafted from 100% ethically sourced materials and OH so soft like this Face Brush Kit from So Eco.
You may have seen the comparison I wrote last year between So Eco Blush Brush and another similar brush, and ever since I’ve been hooked on So Eco brushes. They really are so amazingly soft and beautiful and I think that the bamboo handles look so natural and pretty.
The Face Brush Kit contains four brushes, from left to right in the photo above they are:
Round Foundation Brush
A smallish face brush with a highly domed head, personally I use this brush to contour rather than to apply my foundation. This brush reminds me very much of the Sigma F35 Tapered Highlighter brush which has something of a cult following, and it gets into any nooks and crannies, like the corners of the nose, really well.
A small lip brush with a soft head perfect for applying lipstick. Personally I would have liked to see maybe the Blush Brush in this kit instead of a Lip Brush, as I think it would have complimented the set better, but I still love this brush.
Tapered Blending Brush
A lovely large brush with a gently domed head, this brush is perfect for applying a dusting of powder or for blending your blusher or bronzer. I find it a bit too big to use to blend contours, but perfect to use all over the face.
Angled Contour Brush
This sharply angled flat headed brush is great for applying highlighter or contour powder and I also like to use it to apply powder foundation too.
This close up image shows the pretty rose gold coloured ferrules off to their full advantage and you can see how fluffy and soft the brush heads look. So Eco brushes remind me very much of Bobbi Brown make-up brushes with their pale wood handles and unbelievably soft heads, but for the price of less than one Bobbi Brown make-up brush you can buy this whole So Eco Face Brush Kit!
The Face Brush Kit comes in a cardboard box, and inside the brushes are housed in a wrap made from unbleached cotton. The wrap is really useful if you want to keep them in a handbag or want to take them on holiday with you, but I just keep my brushes loose in a jar on my dressing table.
I really am blown away by the quality of the So Eco brushes, they’re SO soft and they give other premium brushes a run for their money. I’d happily pay £15 for just one of the larger face brushes, but the whole set costs just £15, and is available from Amazon. If you’re just starting out and want a good starter brush kit, or if you’re a bit obsessed with make-up brushes like me and want to add to your collection, then I highly recommend the Face Brush Kit from So Eco.
