KOREAN BEAUTY – BRTC Jasmine Skincare

KOREAN BEAUTY – BRTC Jasmine Skincare

I am currently taking part in an initiative working with BNT News International, a global beauty/fashion/lifestyle and entertainment source based in Seoul, South Korea. I am helping BNT to promote a selection of new and exciting Korean beauty products to a UK audience, these are products that you probably won’t have seen before and some of them are really different and unique. You may have already seen some of my previous Korean beauty reviews, such as this post about Nature Republic Ginseng Royal Silk Watery Cream that I published last week. Today I’m reviewing a duo of skincare products from BRTC – this is a premium Korean skincare brand that I’d not heard of before receiving these products. Both packaged in purple boxes the products are from BRTC’s Jasmine Moist System collection. Jasmine Waterful Sleeping Pack* – this is an overnight face mask that you apply before bed then wash off in the morning. Overnight masks are a relatively new phenomenon here in the UK but over in Asia they’re a...

Christmas 2015 Makeup Collection from Paul & Joe Beaute

Christmas 2015 Makeup Collection from Paul & Joe Beaute

Cats and make-up are two of my favourite things and Paul & Joe Beaute manage to effortlessly combine these two elements to create some stunningly different and quirky limited edition make-up collections every year. I was sent the new Christmas 2015 Masked Ball* makeup collection to try out and it’s a good one! The collection consists of four make-up items housed inside a cute satin pouch, with a mysterious and seductive masked ball theme. Of course the mask is cat’s eye shaped! The zip-up satin make-up pouch features a cat woman on the front and has an extra pocket inside plus a slot inside the back. It’s a good size to keep inside a handbag or desk drawer. Nestled inside the pouch are two eye products, one cheek product and one multi-tasking bodycare product: Creamy Cheek Color – this is a little tube of cream blush and it’s so cute, the tube is decorated with little masks and cat faces. The shade is a mid pinky brown, the sort of...

KOREAN BEAUTY Nature Republic – Ginseng Royal Silk Watery Cream

KOREAN BEAUTY Nature Republic – Ginseng Royal Silk Watery Cream

I am currently taking part in an initiative working with BNT News International, a global beauty/fashion/lifestyle and entertainment source based in Seoul, South Korea. I am helping BNT to promote a selection of new and exciting Korean beauty products to a UK audience, these are products that you probably won’t have seen before and some of them are really different and unique. You may have already seen some of my previous Korean beauty reviews, such as this post about 3 Concept Eyes Long Wear Eye Crayon that I published a few weeks ago. Today I am reviewing Ginseng Royal Silk Watery Cream from Nature Republic. This is an extremely popular product in Korea with around 50,000 items being sold within 3 weeks of its launching. The word ‘watery’ is used quite a bit in product names from Korea and Asia, it’s not really a term we would use to describe a beauty product here in the UK but it usually describes a product with moisturising properties that may be a...

Sleek – Candy Tint Lip Balms

Sleek – Candy Tint Lip Balms

Sleek Makeup is is one of my favourite high street brands and I was so pleased when they asked me if I’d like to try out their new Candy Tint Lip Balms. Formulated with Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E to provide long lasting hydration these tinted lip balms are a cross between a lipstick and a lip treatment balm. The ingredients also include vitamins A and C which help to protect the delicate lips from free radicals and SPF 15 to help shield the lips from the sun in all weathers. Available in six candy shades, I’ve been trying out Sherbet, Cherry Drop and Tutti Fruity: Sherbet is a nude peach shade and probably the colour that I was initially most drawn to. I like neutral lips and this gives your pout a natural hint of colour with a good gloss. Perfect for those ‘no make-up’ make-up looks. I was a bit scared of raspberry red Cherry Drop when I first laid eyes on it, I usually steer clear of red...

Roger & Gallet – Gingembre Rouge Sorbet Body Lotion

Roger & Gallet – Gingembre Rouge Sorbet Body Lotion

I’ve got another Roger & Gallet product review for you today, it’s Sorbet Body Lotion* from the Gingembre Rouge collection. I previously reviewed the citrusy Cedrat Sorbet Body Lotion last Christmas and really liked it, so I was really looking forward to trying out this candy pink variety. The Body Lotion itself is a pearlised white cream – it’s just the bottle that is pink – but it’s actually nice that it doesn’t have any colourings added. ‘Gingembre Rouge’ translates from French as ‘red ginger’, although personally I don’t think that the fragrance is at all gingery, it’s more fruity with a sweet spicy undertone. The ingredients do include extract of Ginger Root though, plus nourishing Aloe Vera and Pomegranate Oil which is probably where the fruitiness comes from. The Sorbet Body Lotion feels light and refreshing on the skin, perfect for the warmer Summer months, and the tiny pearl flecks within the lotion leave a radiance on the surface of the skin. To build up the fragrance you...
