Beauty Best Friend is 2 today!!!

Beauty Best Friend is 2 today!!!

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me…. Yes, my Beauty Best Friend blog is 2 years old today! On 14th April 2013 I posted my first review of Chanel Orange Fizz Nail Colour, here it is if you want to have a quick look. I don’t think my writing style has changed much, what do you think? I really enjoy blogging, I wouldn’t have been able to keep up with it for 2 years if I didn’t. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others, and I’ve also made contact with lots of other bloggers during the time I’ve been writing Beauty Best Friend. So what has Beauty Best Friend achieved over the past 2 years? Well, in just 2 years I have gained over 1,900 followers on Bloglovin and over 1,150 followers on Twitter. The thick nib would be perfect to create a dramatic 1960s style eye with no eyeshadow, just a thick line of black liner that wings up to a cats eye and lots of black mascara. The swatch image below shows clearly the line that each nib gives: The liner...

MUA Blusher – Shade 2

MUA Blusher – Shade 2

Up until about 3 months ago I had always been a bit of a beauty snob and thought that you got what you paid for with make-up, and that all of the new budget beauty brands that are emerging couldn’t have been any good. But there is a brand that has now changed my mind, and that is MUA. Available online and from Superdrug, MUA (short for Makeup Academy) offers a huge range of budget make-up which starts from just £1…. yes, you read that correctly, just £1! So today I am reviewing MUA Blusher in Shade 2, could it be the best-value blusher in the world?! MUA Blusher in Shade 2 is a peach-coloured pressed powder blusher in a small rectangular compact. I don’t normally go for peach or orange based blushers, usually sticking to more bluey-pinks, but I thought it might be nice for the Summer months to wear when I have a tan. The colour applies quite sparingly to the cheeks and you need to apply several layers...
