KOREAN BEAUTY Too Cool For School – Artclass by Rodin

KOREAN BEAUTY Too Cool For School – Artclass by Rodin

I am currently taking part in an initiative working with BNT News International, a global beauty/fashion/lifestyle and entertainment source based in Seoul, South Korea. I am helping BNT to promote a selection of new and exciting Korean beauty products to a UK audience, these are products that you probably won’t have seen before and some of them are really different and unique. This is the second month that I have taken part, a couple of the previous items that I reviewed in July were Too Cool For School Hot Girl Lash and May Coop Raw Sauce. Today I am talking about the fabulous Artclass By Rodin* contouring powder compact from Too Cool For School. This is the second product that I’ve tried from this brand and it’s fast becoming one of my favourite Korean beauty brands. Rodin was a French sculptor who lived between 1840 and 1917. I’m not too sure what he’d have thought about having his name put to a make-up product, but I can see why...

KOREAN BEAUTY Too Cool For School – Hot Girl Lash

KOREAN BEAUTY Too Cool For School – Hot Girl Lash

I am currently taking part in an initiative working with BNT News International, a global beauty/fashion/lifestyle and entertainment source based in Seoul, South Korea. I am helping BNT to promote a selection of new and exciting Korean beauty products to a UK audience, these are products that you probably won’t have seen before and some of them are really different and unique. The first product that I want to tell you about is this Hot Girl Lash* coloured mascara from Too Cool For School. It comes in three different colours – Nuts Brown, Raspberry Pink and Royal Blue – and I have been testing out the Royal Blue shade. Coloured mascaras are no longer throwbacks from the 1980s… you may have recently seen that Benefit have launched coloured versions of their bestseller They’re Real Mascara, and this Royal Blue Hot Girl Lash is really similar. The blue shade is quite subtle and understated, not too bright, it just gives lashes a hint of colour and the hourglass brush shape...

MUA – Sheer Finish Lipgloss in Too Much Fun

MUA – Sheer Finish Lipgloss in Too Much Fun

It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed anything from MUA so today I’m going to be talking about their Sheer Finish Lipgloss in Too Much Fun. MUA Sheer Finish Lipgloss is a budget rival to Lancôme Juicy Tubes and other similar glosses. The little tubes fit nicely in a pocket or handbag and I love to use lipgloss for a sheer Summer make-up look. The MUA Sheer Finish Lipgloss squirts straight out of the end of the tube onto the lips, and you can then use the flattened nozzle to spread the lipgloss across your lips. This one has a lovely strawberry taste and is really glossy. ‘Too Much Fun’  is a bright raspberry pink, you can clearly see the colour on the swatch image below and it’s really thick and glossy. What’s more, it’s not too runny either and it stays put, not bleeding over the lip line. When I apply lipgloss I like to just apply a really thin coat, as I don’t like the feeling of a...

Too Faced – Better Than Sex Mascara

Too Faced – Better Than Sex Mascara

Today I want to tell you about a product that I am REALLY excited about, it’s new Better Than Sex Mascara from Too Faced. I love the Too Faced brand, they have some really innovative products and some stunning palettes plus their range is cruelty free, and this mascara doesn’t disappoint. Better Than Sex Mascara has a unique hourglass shaped brush, and although I did find it quite large (with rather a large cumbersome handle) and difficult to apply the mascara to the top of my upper lashes at first I did soon get used to it. The brush is fairly wide and this makes it really easy to apply the mascara in less strokes, particularly to the underneath of the upper lashes. Plus you can then use the bulbous end of the brush to gently press the mascara on to the bottom lashes. The image below shows a close-up of the hourglass shaped brush. The product itself is a really dense black colour, and is described by Too...

Too much information?

Too much information?

I have been tagged by the very lovely Laura from French Vanilla Cheeks blog to take part in this TMI (Too Much Information) tag. Basically I have to answer the questions below, then tag another couple of people to take part and answer the questions on their blogs. I think this is a great bit of fun, and I think it’s important to find out about your favourite bloggers and learn what makes them tick. I hope you enjoy finding out about me… What are you wearing?  This afternoon I am going to be doing some decorating, so I’m wearing my oldest Levi jeans and a scruffy grey hoody – so it doesn’t matter if they get paint on. Ever been in love? Yes, still am with my husband. Ever had a terrible breakup? Probably a long time ago, but things like that fade with time. How tall are you? Around 5’4”. How much do you weigh? What a personal question! Around 9st 10lb. I do go up and...

Too Faced – Natural Eye Neutral Eye Shadow Collection

Too Faced – Natural Eye Neutral Eye Shadow Collection

When I first spotted this ‘Natural Eye’ Neutral Eye Shadow Collection from cult beauty brand Too Faced I was bowled over by how fab it looked. The lace patterned cardboard palette and the stunningly beautiful shimmery shadows won me over immediately! Too Faced are a US make-up brand founded in the late 90s by Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson (check out their photos on the Too Faced website, they are SO perfectly groomed!), but their products are available in the UK and are starting to make their way into some larger Boots stores. The beautiful array of neutral coloured shadows all have naughty names, including Sexspresso and Nude Beach, and they sit beautifully in the pale pink palette (the cardboard palette reminds me a bit of Benefit’s palettes and sets). You can see from the image above that 3 of the paler shadows are larger in size, and the remaining 6 are slightly smaller, I like to use the larger ones as a colour wash all over the eye...
