KOREAN BEAUTY 3 Concept Eyes – Long Wear Eye Crayon

KOREAN BEAUTY 3 Concept Eyes – Long Wear Eye Crayon

I am currently taking part in an initiative working with BNT News International, a global beauty/fashion/lifestyle and entertainment source based in Seoul, South Korea. I am helping BNT to promote a selection of new and exciting Korean beauty products to a UK audience, these are products that you probably won’t have seen before and some of them are really different and unique. You might have already read some of my previous Korean beauty special reviews, like this one of Artclass by Rodin contouring powder compact from Too Cool For School. Today I am reviewing Long Wear Eye Crayon* from 3 Concept Eyes. The Long Wear Eye Crayon is available in 7 different shades, each of them is shimmery and lustrous. I have been using the shade called Fallen, it’s a dark bronze brown shade with a great shimmer. The eye colour applies straight from the crayon and you can either leave it as it is or blend it with a brush or cotton bud to give a more gentle...

My 3 favourite….. Lipcare Products

My 3 favourite….. Lipcare Products

This is the second in my occasional feature ‘My 3 favourite…..’ in which I choose my 3 favourite products from a particular category. Today I will be discussing my 3 favourite lipcare products and explaining why I like them so much. I’m a bit of a sucker for lip balms, particularly if they’re in cute packaging, but they don’t always live up to their claims so I have picked 3 lipcare products that actually work and have different benefits for the lips. The first lipcare product that really makes the grade is Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm from Dior. I’ve been using this for a couple of years now and absolutely love it! It’s sort of a cross between a lip balm and a lipstick – it has been designed to enhance the lips’ natural colour, and it reacts with your lips’ own ‘chemistry’ to make lips look pinker, fuller and radiant. The pale pink balm looks pretty much clear when you apply it to your lips, but after...

Bee Good – Honey & Wild Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water

Bee Good – Honey & Wild Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water

All things honey and bee-related are really popular at the moment, plus it has recently been highlighted that honey has wonderful properties that help to treat and improve skin. This Bee Good Honey & Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water is made in Hampshire, UK, from the honey of British bees and other natural ingredients and contains no synthetics or parabens. This 3-in-1 Cleansing Water is a clear liquid with hardly any scent and it really does have 3 benefits – it dissolves and removes make-up, cleanses the skin like a cleanser and then tones and refreshes the skin. It should be applied to a cotton wool pad then swept over the face, with no need to rinse afterwards, and can be used morning and night. Personally I don’t like products where there is no need to rinse as I don’t like the feeling of a product being left on the skin, so I have been using it as a pre-cleanse to remove make-up before using my usual Eucerin Dermo...

Sleek – Blush By 3 In Pink Lemonade

Sleek – Blush By 3 In Pink Lemonade

I’m such a big fan of Sleek make-up, their black palettes are stylish yet affordable and most of the products are readily available at good Superdrug stores. When I saw that they had brought out this new Blush By 3 palette in Pink Lemonade I just had to have it as I was running low on good blush colours and these ones looked really natural and suitable for paler skins. Sleek’s Blush By 3 is a palette that contains 3 different rectangular blush colours, in the case of this Pink Lemonade palette the two outer blushes are pressed powder and the centre one is a cream blush. I wasn’t too sure what to expect from the cream blush really as I generally use powder blushes, plus I have found in the past that if you mix cream and powder products in one palette you tend to end up with loose powder granules stuck in the cream products (anyone remember those huge cheap multi-palettes that Argos used to do?). I...

My 3 favourite….. Face Masks

My 3 favourite….. Face Masks

This is the first in a new feature that I will be doing occasionally, looking at my favourite products. Today I will be discussing my 3 favourite face masks and explaining why I like them so much. There are so many face masks out there – drying clay masks, moisturising cream masks, clarifying gel masks – it’s sometimes difficult to know where to start, so I have picked 3 products that are all great at doing different things for your skin.   Origins Clear Improvement Mask The first face mask that really makes the grade is Clear Improvement charcoal mask from Origins. I first tried this out last Summer when I received a free sample of it, and I couldn’t believe it had taken me so long to find it. I now make sure I always have a full size tube of this clay mask in my bathroom cabinet. Clear Improvement is a thick black-coloured active charcoal face mask that helps to clear the pores. It dries extremely hard on...

MUA – Eyeshadow Trio in Blue Babe

MUA – Eyeshadow Trio in Blue Babe

I recently purchased a huge MUA make-up haul, and included within it was this Trio Eyeshadow in Blue Babe. I really love MUA’s budget make-up and it’s great for trying out new colours and trends if you don’t want to shell out a lot of money. Want to see what else I bought in my MUA haul? Have a look here. This MUA Eyeshadow Trio palette consists of three eyeshadow colours – a dark blue powder shadow with grey undertones, a bright pale blue powder shadow and finally a white/cream coloured powder shadow with a golden shimmer. Nestled inside the palette there is also a small double-ended foam applicator – I don’t usually mind using these applicators as I find you get less powder drop-off than from a brush, but the thin end on this one is very difficult to use. I love the fact that on the base of the palette there is a little diagram which suggests where on the eye you apply each colour – good for...

Collection – Work The Colour Trio Eyeshadow in Poison Ivy

Collection – Work The Colour Trio Eyeshadow in Poison Ivy

Whilst in Superdrug a couple of weeks ago I picked up this Work The Colour Trio Eyeshadow in Poison Ivy from Collection (formally Collection 2000). Collection is a brand I haven’t really looked at before, as I’ve explained before I always used to avoid budget make-up brands as I thought you got what you paid for, but I have been proved wrong recently so I thought I’d give it a go. Want to see what else I bought in my Superdrug haul? Have a look here. This trio palette consists of three eyeshadow colours – a dark shimmery khaki green powder shadow, a bright mid-green powder shadow with a gold shimmer and finally a white shimmery cream shadow, plus a double-ended foam applicator (I actually don’t mind using these applicators as I find you get less powder drop-off than from a brush). I love the fact that on the base of the palette there is a little diagram which suggests where on the eye you apply each colour – good...
