Sleek – Candy Tint Lip Balms

Sleek – Candy Tint Lip Balms

Sleek Makeup is is one of my favourite high street brands and I was so pleased when they asked me if I’d like to try out their new Candy Tint Lip Balms. Formulated with Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E to provide long lasting hydration these tinted lip balms are a cross between a lipstick and a lip treatment balm. The ingredients also include vitamins A and C which help to protect the delicate lips from free radicals and SPF 15 to help shield the lips from the sun in all weathers. Available in six candy shades, I’ve been trying out Sherbet, Cherry Drop and Tutti Fruity: Sherbet is a nude peach shade and probably the colour that I was initially most drawn to. I like neutral lips and this gives your pout a natural hint of colour with a good gloss. Perfect for those ‘no make-up’ make-up looks. I was a bit scared of raspberry red Cherry Drop when I first laid eyes on it, I usually steer clear of red...

Sleek – Face Form Contour Palette

Sleek – Face Form Contour Palette

Contouring is big news at the moment in the make-up world and I love looking at ‘before and after’ pictures on Pinterest and Instagram. If you’re new to contouring then you might be interested in the Face Form palette from Sleek. I was actually looking to buy Sleek’s Face Contour Kit palette which is similar to this but doesn’t include a blush, so I went for this Face Form instead. I really love Sleek make-up and have recently reviewed their iDivine Palette in Storm and Blush by 3 in Pink Lemonade, both of which I can highly recommend. The Face Form palette contains 3 pressed powders of equal sizes, a dark contour powder, a pale highlighting contour powder and a blush. The dark contour powder is really nice, it’s a subtle matt bronze colour with no hint of shimmer and it works really well when blended under the cheekbones or around the contour of the forehead. Unfortunately I find the pale highlighting shade too shimmery and it leaves the...

Sleek – True Colour Lipstick in Vamp

Sleek – True Colour Lipstick in Vamp

I usually stick to the same pink and nude colours of lipstick so when I was given this Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Vamp by a friend I was a bit nervous of trying it. I have quite pale skin and I wasn’t too sure if this dark red would be too bold for me. I’ve absolutely loved the other Sleek products that I’ve tried (you can read my reviews of their Blush By 3 in Pink Lemonade and iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm). I think their packaging is great too, matt black plastic and beautifully printed boxes, every time I see a Sleek palette it always makes me want to see what is inside. This True Colour Lipstick is no exception, it’s a matt black bullet tube with the Sleek logo standing out in gloss (you can just about make this out in the image above). Vamp is a dark maroony red with a matt finish, and the name ‘Vamp’ describes it perfectly. As it is a matt...

Sleek – Blush By 3 In Pink Lemonade

Sleek – Blush By 3 In Pink Lemonade

I’m such a big fan of Sleek make-up, their black palettes are stylish yet affordable and most of the products are readily available at good Superdrug stores. When I saw that they had brought out this new Blush By 3 palette in Pink Lemonade I just had to have it as I was running low on good blush colours and these ones looked really natural and suitable for paler skins. Sleek’s Blush By 3 is a palette that contains 3 different rectangular blush colours, in the case of this Pink Lemonade palette the two outer blushes are pressed powder and the centre one is a cream blush. I wasn’t too sure what to expect from the cream blush really as I generally use powder blushes, plus I have found in the past that if you mix cream and powder products in one palette you tend to end up with loose powder granules stuck in the cream products (anyone remember those huge cheap multi-palettes that Argos used to do?). I...
