What’s my favourite ever fake tan?

What’s my favourite ever fake tan?

Just a quick review today, but I thought with this sunny weather it’s a perfect time to tell you about my favourite fake tan ever! So many of the fake tans available today need preparation with scrubbing, then buffing with a mitt before finally showering off – making fake tanning almost a full time job. So what if there were a quicker, easier way? Meet Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer Self Tanning Body Mist from Garnier! I’ve been using this fake tan for years, it’s a body mist that you spray over your skin, it doesn’t need any buffing or rubbing as long as you spray it fairly evenly, which isn’t hard to do as the spray comes out quite finely. It sprays on to the skin clear, then develops in around 2-3 hours, and it has a nice apricot scent – there’s nothing of the usual biscuit-y scent you get with most fake tans. It also dries fairly quickly, I usually leave it around 15 minutes after applying...

Botanicals – Hydrating Mist With Rose & Camellia

Botanicals – Hydrating Mist With Rose & Camellia

Botanicals is one of my favourite skincare brands and I have previously reviewed a few of their products including Radiance Serum and Cleansing Melt. All of Botanicals’ skincare products are natural and organic, plus they aren’t tested on animals and are suitable for vegans. It quite often scares me when I read through the list of ingredients on many skincare products to see all the chemicals that are included and I imagine what these could be doing to my body (many of the chemicals included within regular products are preservatives, colourings and fragrances that don’t add any benefit to our skin). So I find it really refreshing and reassuring when I read the list of ingredients on a Botanicals product and I recognise so many of them as being natural. Hydrating Mist With Rose & Camellia is 100% organic and natural and is certified by The Soil Association. Its ingredients include Rose oil and Camellia Extract, and it’s suitable for all skin types but particularly dry or mature skins. Botanicals also...

St. Moriz – Instant Self Tanning Mist

St. Moriz – Instant Self Tanning Mist

I actually had a bit of a self tanning fail whilst using this St. Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mist, but through no fault of the product, just my own stupidity! I’m a big fan of spray-on fake tans, my favourite is Garnier Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer (which I’ll be reviewing soon) as you don’t even need to rub it in – just spray, leave to dry a few minutes, then go. I like anything that is easy and quick and can’t always be bothered with all the scrubbing and buffing that is associated with fake tanning. So I assumed that this product would be a similar type of self tan spray, where you quickly spray the skin then let the tan develop…. however it’s not! It sprays a dark brown liquid onto your skin that then needs spreading and applying with a mitt like regular self tans… so after spraying it onto one leg I quickly had to sprint into the bathroom and find my fake tan mitt...

Quietude, the ultimate sleep remedy from Temple Spa

Quietude, the ultimate sleep remedy from Temple Spa

I’m reviewing another product from Temple Spa today. For those of you who read my recent post about their Repose Aromatherapy Resting Cream you will know that product really turned round my opinions of the Temple Spa brand and I was lucky enough to be sent some more of their goodies to try out. Quietude Calming Mist is from the same Relaxation collection as Repose, it’s a beautiful mist spray for use on the body, linen or as a room spray – you can spray it pretty much everywhere really! Quietude is a blend of several relaxing essential oils – these include Lemon, Thyme, Juniper oil, Lavender, Eucalyptus oil, Grapefruit, Patchouli, Rosemary, Wormwood, Vetiver and Clove – but the overriding scent that comes through is that of Lavender. Temple Spa says, “When you apply this wonderful calming fragrance to your pulse points it will induce a feeling of peace and calm. In addition, you can mist your pillow, headrest or the space around you to surround yourself with the...

L’Occitane – Relaxing Pillow Mist

L’Occitane – Relaxing Pillow Mist

I’ve always had trouble getting off to sleep ever since I was a little girl and I’ve tried loads of things that claim they’ll help. I particularly love the scent of lavender and I was lucky enough to receive this Relaxing Pillow Mist by L’Occitane from a relative for Christmas. As well as lavender the Relaxing Pillow Mist also contains essential oils of bergamot, mandarin, sweet orange and geranium, although the overriding scent that comes through is lavender. I’ve been spritzing it on my pillow at night before bed – just a couple of light sprays. The scent is fairly light and smells quite natural, not like the sweetened lavender scent you sometimes get with hand creams and bubble baths. I really like the fragrance and it definitely helps me to feel more relaxed but as to whether it helps me get off to sleep, well the jury’s still out on that one. I love the traditional style bottle and label, it looks just like something you’d find on...
