Jelly Pong Pong – 2-in-1 Eyeliner & Shadow in Black

Jelly Pong Pong – 2-in-1 Eyeliner & Shadow in Black

I received this 2-in-1 Eyeliner & Shadow in black from Jelly Pong Pong in my August Glossybox. My first impressions were mixed – the pencil was a bit scratched despite being in wrapped in a protective plastic, and I would have thought that most people will already have a black eyeliner in their make-up kit and would have preferred if this pencil had come in a different colour. However, I do like multi-tasking products and this pencil doubles up as both an eyeliner and a shadow. The Jelly Pong Pong pencil contains beeswax and has a creamy texture which applies fairly easily in one stroke if you are using it as an eyeliner. The point is rather thick though so it is better suited to thick smudgy sultry eyeliner looks than ones which require a precise thin line. Glossybox – August 2013

Glossybox – August 2013

My August Glossybox arrived a couple of days ago. I’m sorry to say that the jury is still out on this one for me – the theme is ‘High Flyers’, and it’s a collection of products for the ‘girl on the go’ all sized at under 100ml so they can be stored in your hand luggage. I have read good things about this treatment and while Tresemme isn’t a brand I would normally choose I am looking forward to trying this out. This Treatment Shot aims to smooth and hydrate the hair so in terms of the ‘High Flyers’ theme I would suggest this is probably a product that you would use BEFORE going on holiday, rather than taking it with you, although you may decide to use it whilst on...

Jelly Pong Pong – Fairy Lashes Mascara

Jelly Pong Pong – Fairy Lashes Mascara

This Fairy Lashes Mascara from Jelly Pong Pong was nestled inside my May Glossybox. I had heard of Jelly Pong Pong before but had never tried any of their products, and I just loved the design on the box so I was very excited to try this. The Jelly Pong Pong philosophy is all about ‘creating products which evoke the dreamer in you’ and I guess this is why they named this mascara ‘Fairy Lashes’. Jelly Pong Pong’s packaging is really pretty with boxes displaying flower illustrations and flowing fonts, but this feel doesn’t necessarily follow through to the products themselves – the mascara tube is a plain purple and rather boring when compared with the pretty box. Fairy Lashes water-resistant mascara was developed to make ‘eyelashes thicker & curvier while allowing them to be spectacularly soft & light’ and I did find that it applied really nicely. The brush is smallish and very easy to use, and it gives a fairly even application of mascara with no clumps....
