L’Occitane – Immortelle Divine Lotion

L’Occitane – Immortelle Divine Lotion

Today’s review is of a rather unique product – Immortelle Divine Lotion from French skincare experts L’Occitane. The aim of the lotion is to prepare skin in order for it to receive benefits from other daily skincare products – the Divine Lotion should be applied to the face before your usual moisturiser or serum and it will help the skin to absorb these other products and benefit from their nutrients. I’m pretty sure I’ve never come across a product with benefits like this before! With 3 patents, Immortelle Divine Lotion helps accelerate cellular renewal, firms and smoothes the skin, and aids it in retaining its elasticity. I have been applying the lotion to my face both morning and evening, in place of toner in between cleansing and moisturising. You can either apply it with a cotton wool pad and wipe it all over the face or with your fingers. The white cloudy lotion is extremely thin and runny, and is absorbed straight into a cotton wool pad so I...

Roger & Gallet – Huile Gourmande

Roger & Gallet – Huile Gourmande

I wasn’t really sure what to expect when I was asked if I would try this Huile Gourmande Ultra Nourishing Oil* from Roger & Gallet. I’d never tried a skincare product from Roger & Gallet before and thought of them as a brand that do lovely little packaged gift boxes of soap but nothing more. But now that I’ve tried it I am literally hooked! Firstly I love the packaging of this Roger & Gallet oil, the rose gold coloured glass bottle is really beautiful and the back of the bottle has a pretty fig illustration running down the length. I love Roger & Gallet’s branding too, it’s pretty and traditionaly without being old fashioned. The oil is dispensed from the bottle via a spray, and it spritzes out just enough – a really well thought out bottle. The oil contains grape, pomegranate, blackcurrant, apricot and sweet almond oils, rich in omega 6 and antioxidant vitamins A and E, and it has the most beautiful fruity scent. It reminds...

Caudalie – Divine Oil

Caudalie – Divine Oil

This Divine Oil from Caudalie was inside my May Glossybox. I’ve never tried any Caudalie products before, but as this multi-tasking oil can be used on body, face, hair and hands I was looking forward to trying it out. Divine Oil is one of Caudalie’s bestselling skincare products and is created using a blend of plant oils – grape, hibiscus, sesame and argan. Caudalie are against animal testing and their products contain no parabens, phthalates, SLS, etc, and use a number of natural plant ingredients. The first thing that you notice when opening the bottle is the strong spicy, woody scent. It is quite manly and reminds me a bit of Christmas – it is not my favourite scent but it’s not unpleasant. This is a real multi-tasking product, it can be used as a moisturising body or face oil, to smooth the ends of the hair, as a massage oil or even as a cuticle oil. Personally I find it a bit too scented for use on my...
