KOREAN BEAUTY Too Cool For School – Hot Girl Lash

KOREAN BEAUTY Too Cool For School – Hot Girl Lash

I am currently taking part in an initiative working with BNT News International, a global beauty/fashion/lifestyle and entertainment source based in Seoul, South Korea. I am helping BNT to promote a selection of new and exciting Korean beauty products to a UK audience, these are products that you probably won’t have seen before and some of them are really different and unique. The first product that I want to tell you about is this Hot Girl Lash* coloured mascara from Too Cool For School. It comes in three different colours – Nuts Brown, Raspberry Pink and Royal Blue – and I have been testing out the Royal Blue shade. Coloured mascaras are no longer throwbacks from the 1980s… you may have recently seen that Benefit have launched coloured versions of their bestseller They’re Real Mascara, and this Royal Blue Hot Girl Lash is really similar. The blue shade is quite subtle and understated, not too bright, it just gives lashes a hint of colour and the hourglass brush shape...

Every day can be a good hair day with Alchemy

Every day can be a good hair day with Alchemy

I’ve been raving about this Grapefruit Hair Remedy from Alchemy Oils on Twitter for days now, this is an all natural product that helps nourish and condition your hair. The Grapefruit Hair Remedy is a blend of 5 natural oils – Coconut, Avocado, Almond, Castor oils which all work to promote growth, thicken hair and add a lustrous shine, plus citrusy Grapefruit oil which fights dandruff and helps keep the scalp healthy. I have thick wavy blonde hair which can get quite dry and frizzy due to over-straightening, so I like to treat it every now and again to some kind of treatment. This one sounded perfect as it only contains natural ingredients. You shouldn’t be scared of using oils, they’re great for every bit of your body and I love to use an oil on my face too, you can read all about one of my favourites here. As you can see from the ingredients list above there’s nothing else added to this hair oil, and therefore it...

Tiny Tea Teatox

Tiny Tea Teatox

Tea detoxes seem to be all the rage at the moment, so back in July I treated myself to a 28 day Tiny Tea Teatox from Your Tea. The idea of the Teatox is that the balanced herbal blend of tea will nourish and cleanse the digestive system, allowing it to replenish and restore back to its natural state. The cleanse can assist with reducing weight, easing bloating, increasing digestion functionality, improving skin clarity, increasing energy levels and alleviate issues associated with food intolerances – all problems that I’ve had at some point or another. The tea formula is based on Chinese medicinal principles, and Tiny Tea is the only herbal cleanse on the market that does not produce a laxative effect. So how does it work – well, the box contains 84 individually wrapped teabags and you drink 3 per day, 30 minutes before or after meals but not in an evening. I got into a routine with my Teatox, drinking one cup as soon as I got...

Teatulia – Lemongrass Herbal Infusion

Teatulia – Lemongrass Herbal Infusion

For most of my life I’ve not really been a tea-drinker, but I’ve been drinking more and more recently and I particularly enjoy fruit infusions as I find them very refreshing and they’re a tasty alternative to water. I was given a sample of Teatulia Lemongrass Herbal Infusion* to try, Teatulia is a range of organic single garden teas grown in a single USDA-certified organic garden in northern Bangladesh. The Lemongrass tea is made just the same as you would make regular tea, place the teabag in a cup of hot water then leave for 4-5 minutes while the delicate flavours infuse. The teabags are really good quality and they expand nicely to let the contents circulate and release their flavour. Then just remove the teabag and enjoy! I usually add a drop of cold water to mine just so that it’s not too hot and I can start drinking it straight away. This Lemongrass Herbal Infusion is caffeine-free and has a nice subtle refreshing lemon taste that is...

Clarins – Joli Rouge Lipstick in Hot Pink

Clarins – Joli Rouge Lipstick in Hot Pink

This is the third Joli Rouge lipstick from Clarins that I have tested, this one is Hot Pink*, and I have really liked the previous two.  I do think that Clarins keep it quite safe with their make-up range, with predictable – but very wearable – shades. The quality of their make-up products is good too and well worth the premium price. The Joli Rouge lipstick range contains ingredients that help plump and hydrate for full, soft and supple lips, this lipstick has a lovely creamy consistency and applies really nicely. It has a feint fruity strawberry scent which is really nice. Hot Pink is a bright raspberry pink colour and the texture is lovely and buttery and sheer. It applies to the lips so very easily – either with a lip brush or straight from the tube (so long as you have a steady hand!). The swatch image above clearly shows how glossy this colour is. I just love the sophisticated shiny silver bullet tubes too, they look...

Anatomicals – Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz

Anatomicals – Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz

This Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz from new trendy brand Anatomicals was in my June Glossybox. It arrived on a really hot day so I tried it out pretty much straight away. The Facial Spritz can be used on the face to refresh and cool you down when it is hot. Unfortunately the mist isn’t really fine enough for use on the face, giving more of a squirt than a spritz! But it could also be used on the rest of the body – a quick spray on the chest and wrists really helps to cool me down. Plus, if you keep it in the fridge it has even more cooling power. The ingredients of this Facial Spritz include mint, rose, lavender and witch hazel, all intended to help your skin feel fresh and cool. It has a gentle scent a bit like the smell of baby wipes – I’m not too keen on the scent myself, but it’s not really unpleasant. I do love the idea of...
