Is this the most beautiful tablet case ever?

Is this the most beautiful tablet case ever?

As a beauty blogger I’m never far away from my iPad – drafting posts, researching products, reading other blogs, online shopping. You name it, my iPad helps me do it! Getting so much use means my trusty companion needs a good case so it’s protected from spills, drops and being sat on by cats. This stunning Saffiano Zip Gold Tablet Case from Filofax does just the trick. You’ve heard of Filofax right? Are you thinking 1990s suited city workers carrying round a lofty and rather overstuffed organiser? Well think again, Filofax now offers a range of smart and stylish tablet cases, portfolios, notebooks and bags. I’m so in love with it, the Saffiano Zip Gold Tablet Case has loads of cool hidden features. The tablet clicks into the hard plastic holder that is attached in the lower half of the case, and then it can swivel 360 degrees so you can have the iPad flat on the desk in front of you, or swivel it and then turn the case...

The Body Shop Christmas 2015 Collection

The Body Shop Christmas 2015 Collection

I love The Body Shop® at Christmas as they have such amazing products and this year is no exception. I was lucky enough to be sent a selection of new products to try out, and I can honestly say that I love each and every one! I really think that The Body Shop® has stepped up its game over the last few years, they now have some fantastic make-up and their Christmas fragrances are second to none – plus it’s so affordable! This is my first of a two-part review of The Body Shop® Christmas range, as I attended a special blogger evening at my local store in York on Friday evening – so keep an eye out for my second post later this week to find out what we got up to! Glazed Apple Shimmer Mist* – Shimmer Mist is a completely new product for Christmas 2015 and apparently it’s selling like hot cakes – so if you want one you’ll need to get in quick! Available in all three...

Ted Baker – Faked To Perfection Nails

Ted Baker – Faked To Perfection Nails

If you’re a fan of false nails then you’ll be pleased to know that Ted Baker have recently brought out a new range of ‘Faked To Perfection’ artificial nails, I was lucky enough to be sent the Rose Gold* set to try out. They come in the same cute sweet shop packaging as the Sweet On You Nail Duo that I reviewed last year. The pack contains 24 artificial nails, a small tube of nail glue and a weird white plastic applicator stick. (I didn’t find that the applicator stick was much help, it didn’t hold the nails very well and made it impossible to press the nails firmly onto the nail bed, it was much easier to apply the nails using my fingers). The set comes in a clear box which is really handy to keep the spares and the glue in after you’ve applied the nails. The Rose Gold set are a pretty pale pink colour with a shiny metallic rose gold tip, really beautiful and rose...

Barry M – Textured Glitter Nail Paint in Lady

Barry M – Textured Glitter Nail Paint in Lady

This is my third and final review of Barry M’s Textured Glitter Nail Paint. I have recently reviewed the golden Majesty shade (you can read that review here) and the pink Princess shade (you can read that review here). Today I am reviewing the white Lady shade, and I have to say I think it’s my favourite out of the three! I absolutely adore a good glitter nail polish, and I rate them on how dense the glitter is. Some glittery polishes look amazing in the bottle, but then when you paint them onto the nails they look sad and washed out, and you need at least 4 coats to get a good glittery coverage… not so with these Textured Glitter Nail Paints from Barry M! After just one coat the nail is covered with glitter and it’s really sparkly and dense. Lady is a pale creamy white colour with a gold shimmer undertone.  The image above shows how it looks after just 2 coats. The white and golden...

Barry M – Textured Glitter Nail Paint in Majesty

Barry M – Textured Glitter Nail Paint in Majesty

I absolutely adore a good glitter nail polish, and I rate them on how dense the glitter is. Some glittery polishes look amazing in the bottle, but then when you paint them onto the nails they look sad and washed out, and you need at least 4 coats to get a good glittery coverage… not so with this Textured Glitter Nail Paint in Majesty from nail polish gurus Barry M! I think this gold glitter polish has possibly the densest ‘glitter to polish’ ratio I have ever experienced, after just one coat the nail is covered with glitter and it’s so sparkly. I’m in love! In the photo above I have only applied 2 coats and you can see that the nails are completely covered in golden glittery loveliness! Majesty is part of Barry M’s Royal Textured Glitter Collection, there are 5 colours available in total. The golden glitter particles are very small and densely packed into the clear matt varnish, and the polish gives a rough textured feel...

Collection – Work The Colour Solo Eyeshadow in Rosy Gold

Collection – Work The Colour Solo Eyeshadow in Rosy Gold

I picked up this Work The Colour Solo Eyeshadow from my local supermarket when I was doing my weekly shop as I thought it looked a lovely natural shimmery colour. I wasn’t able to swatch it in the store to check the colour on my skin, but at £2.19 you can afford to buy without trying. Collection (formally Collection 2000) are a budget make-up brand available in supermarkets and Superdrug. I previously tested out their Work The Colour Trio Eyeshadow in Poison Ivy and was impressed with the quality given that it cost so little money (you can read that review here). The eyeshadow is a nice soft powder with a creamy texture, extremely easy to apply with a brush or a sponge applicator. Rosy Gold is a pale shimmery peachy colour but in certain lights it has a golden glow. I haven’t had chance to take a photo of this eyeshadow actually being worn, but you can see the lovely shimmer you get from Rosy Gold on the...

How to create breathtaking looks with glitter eyeliner

How to create breathtaking looks with glitter eyeliner

I am a massive fan of Urban Decay cosmetics, they have funky packaging, great palettes and I love the use of sparkle, glimmer and glitter within their products. Plus I discovered recently that Urban Decay is a member of Cruelty Free International, meaning that they have acquired the ‘Leaping Bunny’ stamp and their products are not tested on animals. So I decided it was about time that I reviewed one of my favourite Urban Decay products, Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner. Available in 7 glittery shades, these sparkly eyeliners are so much fun, they’re perfect for parties and the festive season. You don’t even need to limit them to your eyes, you can use them to draw patterns onto your face and body too. Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner is basically tiny pieces of glitter held densely within a clear base, and you apply it with the very thin brush that is inside the lid. As the brush is so tiny it only applies a few flakes of glitter at a...

Zatchels – Candy Gold Cracked Metallic Satchel

Zatchels – Candy Gold Cracked Metallic Satchel

This is my new purchase and I couldn’t wait to share it with you! I have wanted a coloured satchel for ages but wasn’t sure what colour as there are so many around these days. I ended up choosing this Candy Gold Cracked Metallic Satchel from Zatchels and I haven’t stopped using it since it arrived. Zatchels is a UK company that promotes traditional British manufacturing. Every satchel ordered is made to order in Leicester from high quality leather. The leather on my satchel is really stiff at the moment as it is so new but it will soften over time. I chose the smallest of the Zatchels available – 11.5 inch – this size doesn’t have room for a card holder on front but the larger sizes do. This small size will fit an A5 notepad or diary inside, and there is plenty of room for my purse, keys, etc, plus I keep my lipstick and mirror in the little pocket on the front. You can also pay...
