Nailbox – the new nail polish subscription box

The beauty world has been full of new beauty boxes for the past couple of years, some are really popular and some sink without a trace after a few months. It’s becoming quite a saturated market, but in April the first nail polish subscription beauty box, Nailbox, launched in the UK with fantastic results. I think a subscription box based around one particular aspect of beauty is a great idea, the majority of other beauty boxes contain a selection of skincare and make-up and it’s really nice to see something a bit different launching. I was lucky enough to be sent May’s Nailbox* to review. The products arrive in a rather ordinary brown corrugated cardboard box with the Nailbox logo on the side. Essie – Nail Polish in Hide & Go Chic

This is the first Essie nail polish that I have actually ever owned, although I have worn lots of their colours over the years courtesy of my local beauty salon. It’s only been in the last few years that you’ve been able to pick up Essie polishes on the high street, and I always thought that they were a little bit too expensive when compared to other high street brands so I never invested but I know that there are a lot of people out there that have vast collections of Essie colours and buy nothing else. Hide & Go Chic is a muted denim blue colour with quite a glossy finish (you can see in the image above that it is reflecting the light from the window where I took the photo!). The brush is really flat and wide (almost as wide as the nail on my tiny little finger) which means that it takes less strokes to apply the polish across the whole nail and makes it...
