eBay Owl/Fox Handbag

eBay Owl/Fox Handbag

I just couldn’t resist sharing this cute handbag that I purchased from eBay recently! I’m not quite sure if it’s supposed to be an owl or a fox, but both are currently in fashion and I just think it’s so cute! The press stud on it’s little nose unfastens to open up the bag, and whilst there are no separate pockets inside it’s quite a decent size to fit your everyday essentials in. The strap is quite a good length, and it’s adjustable too using buckles so you could wear it across the body or over one shoulder. It looks a bit like leather although I think it’s probably made from plastic given the cheap price! But it’s good value, and it comes in 6 different colours. I went for the orange as I think that’s the most fox-like colour, but I think the brown looks good too. I’ve already had lots of positive comments when I’ve been using my fox/owl bag, it’s the perfect size to use when meeting...

EBay Budget Nail Art Supplies

EBay Budget Nail Art Supplies

I love finding bargains on EBay, there’s just about everything you can think of on there (and a lot more besides), and it always shocks me at how many items you can pick up for just 99p including postage! So I decided to show my readers some of the nail art inspired bargains I’ve bought from EBay over the past few months. You may recognise these French Nail Tip Stickers as the ones that I used in my Neon Chevron French Mani Tutorial last Summer. They’re basically sheets of little sticker strips that you peel off and stick onto the nail just below the tip, then you paint your white tip (or whatever colour you fancy) and remove the sticker and… hey presto, you get a lovely neat straight line on your nail tip. The stickers pictured above include straight edges, plus chevrons and hearts, and you get 10 sheets. You don’t need to just use white polish for your nail tips, you could use brights like I’ve done with...

Ciate – Paint Pots in Pocket Money

Ciate – Paint Pots in Pocket Money

How stunning do Ciate Paint Pots look with their unique bottle shape and little black bow?! This is Pocket Money, and it’s the first Ciate nail polish that I ever purchased. Ciate (pronounced ‘See-are-tey’) is a London brand and they’re always bringing out innovative new nail products including their recent Shell Manicure whereby you sprinkle a layer of shimmery crushed shells directly onto a layer of wet nail polish. Check out the Ciate website to view their full range of nail polishes and special effects. Pocket Money is a creamy caramel colour with quite a glossy finish – very chic, it’s one of my favourites and I always receive nice comments when I’m wearing it. The brush is made up of 250 bristles and is flat and wide which means that it takes less strokes to apply the polish across the whole nail and makes it quicker and easier to get a neat finish. As I’ve already mentioned I love Ciate’s packaging, the uniquely shaped bottles are set off...

Hair-Covered Bun Donut

Hair-Covered Bun Donut

The fashion for high buns seems to be taking over at the moment, so when I saw this hair-covered bun donut I thought it was a great idea. It’s just like a regular bun donut but it’s covered in synthetic hair, so if you have any gaps in your bun you can’t tell! It’s great for a beginner, just tie your hair into a high ponytail and slide the bun donut down over the ponytail until it reaches your head. Then take a small section of the ponytail and pull it back over the outside of the donut and secure it to your head using a kirby grip then tuck any loose ends of hair underneath the donut. Repeat with sections of your ponytail until all of the hair is used and the bun donut is covered! You may need to backcomb your hair a little bit to make it easier to work with. There are plenty of ‘how to’ videos on YouTube so if you’re not sure if...

Tony Moly – Petite Bunny Gloss Bar in Juicy Strawberry

Tony Moly – Petite Bunny Gloss Bar in Juicy Strawberry

First of all, big thanks to Fee from fab blog Makeup Savvy who first brought this cute Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar to my attention in her ‘May Favourites’ post. I had never heard of Tony Moly before this, but as soon as I saw this I had to order one! Tony Moly is a Korean skincare and make-up brand, but their products are widely available in the UK via Ebay and other selected websites. Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar works like a regular lipstick whereby you twist the end and the gloss stick twists up ready to apply to your lips. Juicy Strawberry is a lovely translucent pink lip gloss, very glossy and shiny with a great tint. It feels really moisturising and also has a nice juicy strawberry fragrance. The 2 swatch images below have been taken both with and without a camera flash. The image with the flash shows just how glossy this lip product is. The lid has a cute bunny face and...
