Delicate Pink Glitter Nails

Delicate Pink Glitter Nails

I was having a play with some nail varnishes the other day and came up with this delicate pale pink glittery look. I really love it, it’s very demure and pretty, so I thought I would share it. I think it would look perfect worn by a bride on her wedding day, as it’s very subtle and wouldn’t detract from the dress. The base shade of pink that I used was Rose Cache from Chanel, it’s a pale nudey pink with a very slight 2-tone lilac shimmer to it. When you wear it on its own it almost looks like you’re not wearing a colour, just healthy pink nails, and it works perfectly with a white tip for a classic French manicure. I know a lot of people don’t like Chanel nail colours as they’re fairly expensive and a lot of bloggers have reported chipping, but I do have to say that I have a few different Chanel shades and I really like them. Paul & Joe Beaute – Cheek Color & Compact Case

Paul & Joe Beaute – Cheek Color & Compact Case

I do love make-up that looks beautiful in its packaging, and there is no brand more pretty that Paul & Joe Beaute. Their limited edition feline and floral packaging is second to none with many pieces being so beautiful that you just want to admire them and almost don’t want to use them. A couple of weeks ago I treated myself to Cheek Color 10 (Ombrage) and the Spring 2014 Collection Kitten Print Compact Case (number 002). Shade 10 was the most natural of the Cheek Colors that I could find, it is a pressed powder blusher that consists of a large rose-pink section and a thinner tan colour strip. I love the fact that the pressed powder has the Paul & Joe ‘PJ’ logo imprinted into it, I think it makes it looks really classy. You can see the Cheek Color shades really clearly from the close-up image above. The tan strip of colour has a feint shimmer to it, you can see the glittery particles shining. The...

Mavala – Rouge Rubis Nail Color

Mavala – Rouge Rubis Nail Color

I received this little gem of a nail colour in my Editor’s Picks collection box from Latest in Beauty. This Rouge Rubis Nail Color from Mavala is small but perfectly formed and could be my new favourite nail colour for Autumn. Rouge Rubis is a dark crimson red with densely packed extremely fine glitter particles. It’s just so glamorous and will be perfect for Autumn/Winter and Christmas parties. The glitter is so fine that you can’t really see it unless you look closely, but it gives the polish an extremely shiny finish. The image above really doesn’t do this shade justice, I just love it, it is SO shiny! I applied two coats of Mavala Rouge Rubis over one coat of Chanel Protective Base Coat and didn’t need a clear top coat as this polish is just so shiny. So far I have been wearing it for 5 days and there hasn’t been any chipping. This little Mavala bottle is only 5ml, but it’s great quality and really affordable....
