REN – Satin Perfection BB Cream

REN – Satin Perfection BB Cream

I received this mini sample of REN Satin Perfection BB Cream in the Latest In Beauty British Beauty Blogger Dream Box that I purchased a few months ago. REN is a brand that I admire very much – their products contain only 100% plant and mineral derived actives and are free from synthetic ingredients – and my favourite skincare product of 2013 was REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. I still can’t really make my mind up about BB Creams, I find a lot of them give a shiny plasticky finish to the skin, plus as I have combination skin my nose and chin often find them too oily. However this REN Satin Perfection BB Cream gives a nice satin finish which I was really pleased about – my skin doesn’t look shiny at all – and then I finish it with a dusting of Clinique Blended Face Powder. The product itself is a thick creamy foundation-like base and it slides onto the skin really easily. I’ve been applying it...

Clinomyn – 14 Day Challenge for Whiter Teeth

Clinomyn – 14 Day Challenge for Whiter Teeth

I was contacted recently to ask if I was interested in doing the Clinomyn 14 Day Challenge for whiter teeth. I wouldn’t consider my teeth particularly stained but they’re definitely not as white as Simon Cowell’s, so I decided to give it a go! I had to use Clinomyn Anti-Stain Fluoride Toothpaste in Fresh Mint* for 2 weeks and then post my results to show whether there had been an improvement in the colour of my teeth. Clinomyn contains a cleaning system called Polynam, and in a consumer test on 112 smokers 71% experienced whiter teeth in 14 days or less. Clinomyn Anti-Stain Fluoride Toothpaste has been developed for smokers (I am not one of those) in order to help remove the stains caused by nicotine from teeth. It also helps to remove stains caused by tea, coffee, red wine, curries and other colourful foods – now I don’t drink red wine or coffee, neither am I a big fan of curry, but I have recently increased my intake...

Soap & Glory – Peaches and Clean 3-in-1 Wash-Off Deep Purifying Cleanser

Soap & Glory – Peaches and Clean 3-in-1 Wash-Off Deep Purifying Cleanser

Some eagle-eyed readers may have noticed that I already reviewed Peaches And Clean Cleanser a few months ago, but Soap & Glory have recently redeveloped their skincare range so I wanted to weigh up how the new version of Peaches And Clean performs against the old one. The old Peaches And Clean was one of my favourite cleansers (and could also double up as an exfoliating mask) so I was nervous to try out the new version and had my fingers crossed that it wouldn’t have changed too much. Soap & Glory have added OXYGINSENG Technology™ (their special oxygen boosting complex) to this product to re-energize and stimulate the skin, plus PEACH & GOJUICE™ Extracts (Peach Extract and Goji Berry extract) that are rich in Vitamin A, C and anti oxidants. They have also removed parabens from the cleanser which I think is a great move. The old product was described as a ‘4-in-1 Wash-Off Deep Cleansing Milk’ whereas the new one is a ‘3-in-1 Wash-Off Deep Purifying Cleanser’. The...

Bobbi Brown – Conditioning Brush Cleanser

Bobbi Brown – Conditioning Brush Cleanser

I am a massive fan of Bobbi Brown products and I love the fact that they often have online offers for free delivery or free gifts when you spend over a certain amount. I purchased this Conditioning Brush Cleanser a while ago to bump up my order total so that I could receive a free gift. This isn’t the sort of product I would have bought otherwise as I have usually just used a little bit of liquid soap to wash my make-up brushes. So, is it worth spending extra on a product designed to help clean your brushes? Conditioning Brush Cleanser is a clear liquid soap, with little fragrance, packaged inside a signature Bobbi Brown black tube. Rinse your make-up brush with warm water, then squirt a little of the product into your hand and rub the brush gently over your hand massaging the brush hairs in little circles to remove all of the powder and dirt. You should be careful not to get the brush hairs tangled...
