Sleek – Candy Tint Lip Balms

Sleek – Candy Tint Lip Balms

Sleek Makeup is is one of my favourite high street brands and I was so pleased when they asked me if I’d like to try out their new Candy Tint Lip Balms. Formulated with Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E to provide long lasting hydration these tinted lip balms are a cross between a lipstick and a lip treatment balm. The ingredients also include vitamins A and C which help to protect the delicate lips from free radicals and SPF 15 to help shield the lips from the sun in all weathers. Available in six candy shades, I’ve been trying out Sherbet, Cherry Drop and Tutti Fruity: Sherbet is a nude peach shade and probably the colour that I was initially most drawn to. Zatchels – Candy Gold Cracked Metallic Satchel

Zatchels – Candy Gold Cracked Metallic Satchel

This is my new purchase and I couldn’t wait to share it with you! I have wanted a coloured satchel for ages but wasn’t sure what colour as there are so many around these days. I chose the smallest of the Zatchels available – 11.5 inch – this size doesn’t have room for a card holder on front but the larger sizes do. This small size will fit an A5 notepad or diary inside, and there is plenty of room for my purse, keys, etc, plus I keep my lipstick and mirror in the little pocket on the front. You can also pay...

Helen E – Lip Crayon in Candy Floss

Helen E – Lip Crayon in Candy Floss

Helen E is a relatively new UK makeup brand, founded by owner Helen Elowe in 1999. I purchased a couple of their lip crayons a few months ago but haven’t tried them out until now, the first lip crayon I have been trying out is Candy Floss, a sweet sugary pink colour. The Helen E Lip Crayon applies fairly nicely and easily to the lips and is quite soft. As this lip colour is in a pencil format there is no need for lip liners and it is really easy to draw the colour around the edge of the lip to give a straight edge. Unfortunately the consistency of the lip crayon lets this product down, it is not creamy and glossy like a lot of the other chubby lip crayons available on the market today and it gives a chalky matt finish which gathers in the creases of the lips. It also has an unpleasant sweet fragrance/taste, but on the plus side there is no feathering or bleeding around the edge of the lip...
