Asian beauty products from Beauteque

Asian beauty products from Beauteque

The playful nature and kitsch packaging of Asian beauty products have always appealed to me and I’ve reviewed quite a few make-up and skincare products from Korean brands such as Tony Moly and Etude House before. However it’s not always easy to get hold of these products here in the UK, I often resort to eBay or Amazon to get hold of them. But now there’s Beauteque – a new one-stop online shop for all things Asian beauty. Started in Summer 2015 by a young entrepreneur, Beauteque offers an ever expanding range of skincare, make-up, haircare and bodycare all from Asian brands. Whilst the website is based in the USA they ship all over the world and I was very excited to see that they stock some of my favourite brands. Cosmic Beauty – Facial Sheet Masks

Cosmic Beauty – Facial Sheet Masks

I was recently contacted by Cosmic Beauty who are a UK provider of South East Asian beauty products – mainly facial sheet masks. They sell their products via Amazon and Facebook, and they sent me a selection of sheet masks to try. The masks included several for the face, plus an eye mask and a couple for the hands and feet – I didn’t even realise you could get sheet masks for hands and feet! As I’ve tried quite a few of these masks I’m only going to talk in detail today about 2 of them, otherwise the post would be extremely long! Face Q is a range of facial sheet masks from Taiwan. If you haven’t tried a facial sheet mask before, it is a thin cottony sheet soaked in a liquid product that you place over your face and leave for a while (just like you would do a regular cream mask). It has holes for the eyes, nose and mouth so you can still see and...

Etude House – Lovely Cookie Blusher in Grapefruit Jelly

Etude House – Lovely Cookie Blusher in Grapefruit Jelly

Today I want to share with you a really lovely make-up product from South Korea, this is Lovely Cookie Blusher from Asian brand Etude House. I’m a big fan of Asian make-up, there’s some really cute and pretty packaging out there (as well as some really bizarre products too!) and it’s fairly easy to buy products from Ebay and similar websites. I think that this product is called Lovely Cookie Blusher as it looks like a cute little fat cookie! The packaging is simply divine and includes a dainty little powder puff inside, with a pink ribbon, to gently apply the blush – although I do have to say I prefer to use a blusher brush! I chose the Grapefruit Jelly shade which is a pretty peachy-pink colour, perfect for those with a pale complexion. I think there are 9 shades available, all named after sweet desserts – Carrot Cheesecake anyone? You can see from the swatch image above that the coverage is quite matt and powdery and the...
