Holika Holika – Petit BB Cream Aqua

Holika Holika – Petit BB Cream Aqua

I had so much interest in my recent Korean special beauty reviews (where I posted about new beauty products from Korea as part of an initiative with BNT News International) that I thought I would continue this theme. This Petit BB Cream from Korean beauty brand Holika Holika was recently recommended to me by another blogger on Twitter and I thought I’d try it out. A lot of Korean brands are really easy to get hold of here in the UK, either via eBay or Amazon, and Holika Holika is one of them. There are five different varieties of the Petit BB Cream – Clearing, Aqua, Bouncing, Moisturizing and Shimmering. I went for the Aqua as I have quite dehydrated skin and this one promises to add moisture back. Each of the five varieties only comes in one shade which is a bit of a shame, but as with most BB creams as they’re quite light and sheer they do blend in with your own skintone – I just wouldn’t recommend any...

Paul & Joe – Floral Make-Up Bag

Paul & Joe – Floral Make-Up Bag

This Floral Make-up Bag from Paul & Joe truly is a thing of beauty! I first saw it reviewed on one of my favourite blogs, Girl With MakeUp, and I had to have one! It’s so pretty with an aqua and lilac floral fabric and the Paul & Joe logo is printed on the front. “What’s so special about it?” I hear you ask. Well, apart from being really pretty it has lots of useful pockets and compartments to help keep make-up and toiletries well organised, and the really clever part about it is that it works a little bit like a Filofax with 2 removable pouches that attach to metal rings, a bit like a ring binder. The image above clearly shows the 2 removable pouches – one is a clear mesh so you can see what is inside it, the other matches the outside of the make-up bag in the cute aqua and lilac floral fabric. Not only does this beautiful bag house the 2 removable pouches,...

Blue Glitter Accent Nail

Blue Glitter Accent Nail

You may have seen my post last week about my Barry M Nail Paint haul….. well here is the first look I have created using the Aqua Glitter nail paint. It is a simple accent nail look, using 2 coats of Chanel Nail Colour in Blue Boy on all nails, and then 2 coats of the sparkly Barry M paint on the ring finger to create an eye-catching accent nail. I then finished off the look with a coat of clear top coat on all nails to give a nice shiny finish and to help seal in the glitter on the accent nail. These two colours work really well together. I have found that the Barry M Aqua Glitter works best over another colour as the glitter coverage is rather thin on its own and it requires at least 3 good coats to give a nice even glitter coverage. Here it is on my toes after 3 coats, I think it looks OK but if I’m using a glitter...

Barry M Nail Paint Haul

Barry M Nail Paint Haul

I’m so excited! I’ve just picked up these three Barry M beauties from Boots and I can’t wait to start using them! I think Barry M is my favourite nail paint brand right now, there’s such a range of colours and effects to choose from and they’re such good value. Full reviews will come soon, but in the meantime here’s a sneak peek at the 3 colours… This one is from the Glitter Nail Paints collection and it’s called, unsurprisingly, Aqua Glitter. It is a clear varnish with a very fine aqua-coloured glitter in it. I’m thinking glitter tips and accent nails for this one! And it will be interesting to see how thick the glitter coverage will be. This is also from the Glitter Nail Paints collection, and is called ‘Pink Sapphire Glitter’. This is a clear varnish with hexagonal pink and silver glitter and ‘feather’ thin strips of silver glitter. I’m thinking accent nails for this one, or just all out Christmas party sparkle over a coat of bright pink...
