KOREAN BEAUTY It’s not for dogs…

KOREAN BEAUTY It’s not for dogs…

“Is it for dogs?” was my husband’s first question when I showed him this Homme Terrior* All In One product from Korea! Obviously the name shows more than a slight resemblance to a type of dog here in the UK, but it’s definitely a product for men! I am currently taking part in an initiative working with BNT News International, a global beauty/fashion/lifestyle and entertainment source based in Seoul, South Korea. I am helping BNT to promote a selection of new and exciting Korean beauty products to a UK audience, these are products that you probably won’t have seen before and some of them are really different and unique. You may have already seen some of my previous Korean beauty reviews, such as this post about 3CE Long Wear Eye Crayon. Stila – All Over Shimmer Duo in Kitten

Stila – All Over Shimmer Duo in Kitten

I’d been looking for a good shimmery highlighter powder for ages, so when I saw this All Over Shimmer Duo in Kitten from Stila I was smitten (plus I managed to get 20% OFF it from M&S on Bank Holiday weekend)! All Over Shimmer Powder is marketed as a multi-use make-up item, it can be used as eyeshadow, cheek colour or highlighter – I love anything that can multi-task! Plus the mirror inside the lid means you can use it on-the-go. The two shades in the compact complement each other nicely – the paler shade is a champagne cream and has just the right amount of shimmer, the darker shade is a gentle bronze. Both of the powders are micro-fine and apply smoothly...

UK Launch of Essence Make-Up

UK Launch of Essence Make-Up

Essence make-up has been around overseas since 2002 but has only recently been launched in the UK. Unfortunately I was unable to make it to their launch party but I was kindly sent a selection of Essence make-up to try. My first impressions of Essence is good, the products and packaging remind me a bit of Rimmel London and I feel they are aimed at girls aged 12-18 although they would suit anyone looking for make-up on a budget. I will be reviewing 3 Essence make-up products today, and I have another couple of items (including a glitter nail varnish) that I will be reviewing over the coming weeks. The first product that I tried was Essence Pureskin Anti-Spot Moisturizing Make-Up*, a light foundation designed to help fight spots and blackheads which contains Clearderm Complex that fights spots and also zinc and bisabolol which help speed up the healing process. The product is fairly light, a bit like a cross between a foundation and a tinted moisturiser and it...
