To celebrate the relaunch of their website Somerset Toiletry Company were kind enough to send me a trio of bodycare products to try out. Somerset Toiletry Company is the home of 5 brands – Gardener’s Therapy, Aromas Artesanales De Antigua, Greenscape, Tropical Fruits and Naturally European. Regular readers of Beauty Best Friend may remember that I have previously reviewed Greenscape Organic Cocoa Butter Foaming Hand Wash and a couple of the Naturally European Luxury Hand Wash range – Rose Petal and my favourite Ginger & Lime.
The Naturally European, Gardener’s Therapy and Greenscape ranges are all completely free from SLS and Parabens and all use natural ingredients.
My favourite of the three products is Naturally European Verbena Luxury Hand Cream*. This thick, rich white hand cream contains 20% shea butter and has a heavenly citrusy lemon scent – it really reminds me of L’Occitane Verbena Moisturising Hand Lotion, except this one is much richer (and cheaper!).
As the Verbena Luxury Hand Cream is so rich you only need a small amount and it needs to be massaged well until it’s completely absorbed into the skin. It’s a perfect option to use on your feet too, as well as your hands.
I love the traditional unisex metal tube and the classy logo, the Naturally European range looks really great on any bathroom shelf. Luxury Hand Cream is available in 5 different traditional scents – including Rose Petal and Milk.
Naturally European Verbena Luxury Hand Cream is priced at £6.95 for 75ml, available from Somerset Toiletry Company.
The second product that I tried out is Gardener’s Therapy Muscle Soak Foam Bath*. I’m not a big user of bubble bath products as I find that they can dry my skin out, however this one is incredibly gentle and has hardly any fragrance which I found refreshing. The Gardener’s Therapy range is aimed at gardeners and manual workers to help relax them and soothe their hands after a hard day’s work, and I think the bottle label looks really practical and unisex making it suitable for both men or women.
Muscle Soak Foam Bath contains Peppermint, Rosemary and Lavender essential oils to help provide relaxation, and although I didn’t really get much fragrance coming through I did feel relaxed after using it. This probably isn’t a product I would use regularly, but I do think it would make a really nice gift.
Other products in the Gardener’s Therapy range include Hand Lotion, Triple Milled Soap and a cute Intensive Dry Skin Salve which I would love to try.
Gardener’s Therapy Muscle Soak Foam Bath is priced at £7.50 for 500ml, available from Somerset Toiletry Company.
The final product in the trio is Rose Petal Triple Milled Soap* from Aromas Artesanales De Antigua (a bit of a mouthful!). This is quite a large rectangular soap packaged in a traditional floral paper cover, and it has a lovely strong rose fragrance. Personally I love the smell of roses, however I know some people find it a bit old-fashioned, if so you might prefer one of the other versions of this soap which include lavender or orange blossom.
I think this also would make a nice gift, given its pretty packaging. It looks pretty with the packaging removed too, with the Aromas Artesanales De Antigua logo embossed into the top of the pink soap.
Aromas Artesanales De Antigua Rose Petal Triple Milled Soap is priced at £3.95 for 200g, available from Somerset Toiletry Company.
Overall I’m really impressed with this trio of products from Somerset Toiletry Company. My favourite is the Verbena Luxury Hand Cream, it’s already gone into my handbag for regular use! I love the fact that the Natually European and Gardener’s Therapy ranges are sodium laureth sulphate (SLS) and paraben free (my skin is irritated by products containing SLS) and I love the traditionally-inspired packaging of all the items.
To celebrate the launch of their new website Somerset Toiletry Company are currently offering a free Naturally European Luxury Hand Cream with all orders over £30, plus FREE delivery until Monday 8th September.
