Soap & Glory – The Fab Pore

Following Soap & Glory’s recent product redesign, I decided to try out some more of their products. The Fab Pore is described as a ‘2-in-1 pore purifying mask & peel’ and it is designed to unclog pores, detox the skin and reduce breakouts.
This 2-in-1 deep-cleansing exfoliator/mask is infused with Superfruit™ Yuzu and Soap & Glory’s super-active secret weapon Poreshrink-R™ to help reduce the size of large open pores. It should be used once a week to help keep skin detoxed but can be used more often if you get a bad breakout.
The Fab Pore is a minty scented pale green thick paste containing tiny exfoliating microbeads of rice. Firstly, massage The Fab Pore into the skin using your fingers like you would do with a regular exfoliator, you can feel the rice microbeads gently exfoliating the skin but they do feel gentle and there aren’t a lot of them. Leave the product on the skin for 5-15 minutes depending on how much of an extreme clean you need, then rinse thoroughly with warm water and apply your usual moisturiser. The Fab Pore leaves skin feeling squeaky clean, soft and very refreshed with pores appearing slightly closed and less obvious, but this is a temporary effect and I’m not sure if it has much permanent effect on the pores. I do feel however that this product is great for drying out skin breakouts and encourages spots to heal more quickly.
Soap & Glory have recently redesigned their skincare packaging to give their products a more serious feel. I like the cute little white tub that holds The Fab Pore cream and I do prefer Soap & Glory’s new packaging to their old designs. I don’t feel that The Fab Pore’s packaging explains enough about the product though, I would like to see it explain a little bit more about what the product does and how to apply it.
Soap & Glory have also reformulated some of their products, removing parabens and some other nasties. The Fab Pore used to be a beige colour but the new reformulated version is now green, and the parabens have also been removed.
Another of their products that has changed for the better is Soap & Glory Peaches And Clean Cleanser which I reviewed a little while ago.
