Sanctuary Spa Sleep In A Box Review

I go through phases where I suffer from terrible insomnia so I’m always eager to try out new products that promise to help you drift off to sleep. I was given this set from Sanctuary Spa after I gave birth to my daughter last September, and given that I was feeling rather run down and tired I welcomed anything that encouraged me to pamper myself.

Containing mini versions of four of Sanctuary Spa’s bodycare products from their Sleep range, this Sleep-In-A-Box contains everything you need to give yourself a little bit of a treat before bedtime.

Sanctuary Spa Sleep In A Box Description

There’s a helpful guide inside the lid as to how to use the products – starting with a long warm bath filled with Calming Luxury Bath Float, then exfoliating away any dry skin using Smoothing Silk Polish. After the bath you can massage Restoring Body Oil into aching muscles (even better get your partner to do this!) and finish off by hydrating skin with Comforting Night Butter.

The ingredients of the products include Ylang Ylang oil – renowned to reduce tension and relieve stress, Frankincense oil – known to clarify and calm, and Patchouli oil – helps to reduce anxiety before sleep. Used in combination these essential oils help to de-stress the mind and body, and prepare you for a good night’s sleep. It’s also nice to see relaxing sleep bodycare products that aren’t based around Lavender oil too – I really like Lavender but there are a lot of people who don’t.

I thought this was a really thoughtful gift, much appreciated in and amongst all the baby-related gifts of babygrows and soft toys! If you know anyone who’s expecting a baby then bookmark this product as the perfect post-natal gift! It would also make a great present for someone who has exams soon, or some other stressful time coming up.

Sanctuary Spa 35 Years

Did you know that Sanctuary Spa was originally a chain of London spas, the first of which was opened over 35 years ago? Sadly the last one closed a couple of years ago and Sanctuary now concentrate on their products.

UPDATE 20th August 2017 – unfortunately this gift set is no longer available from Boots, however the Luxury Bath Float is available in full size and a couple of the other items have been replaced with newer products:

Sanctuary Spa Luxury Bath Float is priced at £12 for 500ml, from Boots.

Restoring Body Oil has been replaced with Sanctuary Spa Massage & Body Oil, containing rose and cranberry oils, priced at £8 for 150ml, from Boots.

Comforting Night Butter has been replaced with Sanctuary Spa Body Butter, containing shea butter and macadamia nut oil, priced at £11 for 300ml, from Boots.

Alternatively if you want to read about my favourite sleep product, head on over to my review of Temple Spa Quietude, a heavenly relaxing spray for both the body and the space around you. A real treat!

  1. I love Sanctuary Spa products but I somehow didn’t know they did this wonderful little box! I’ve been struggling with sleep lately too, so I think I’m off to my closest Boots to pick this up. Thank you.
