Salcura – Face Wash & Face Hydrator

I’ve reviewed, and loved, quite a few skincare and bodycare products from natural skincare brand Salcura now, you may have previously read my reviews of their Antiac products for acne-prone skin. Today I am reviewing their Face Wash* and Face Hydrator* for sensitive and dry skin.
Salcura’s products are 100% natural and many of them contain sea buckthorn as one of their main ingredients, which helps to reduce inflammation and soothe skin, making them great for sensitive and problem skins.
Salcura Face Wash is a bright orange lightly foaming cleanser with a gentle citrusy orange fragrance. It dispenses easily from the pump bottle and feels quite thick in your hands until you add a drop of water. It feels a bit like a cream cleanser when you apply it to your face as it’s so thick, but it does gently foam and rinses off easily.
It feels really gentle on my skin and doesn’t leave it feeling tight like some soapy cleansers can do. I like to use a wash-off cleanser in the morning as I find it saves time, and I would definitely buy this Salcura Face Wash as it’s gentle and natural.
Salcura Face Hydrator is a fairly light yellow moisturising lotion, quite similar in texture, colour and scent to the Salcura Body Hydrator that I reviewed recently. The fragrance is quite strong and spicy and personally I’m not too keen on it, but otherwise it’s a good product. It leaves skin feeling supple and moist and it’s not greasy or oily at all, although it does take a little bit of massaging in until it’s fully absorbed.
The tube feels a bit soft and flimsy, but I do like Salcura’s packaging, it’s been designed to look simple with no nonsense.
I probably wouldn’t ordinarily buy this Face Hydrator as I’m a bit put off by the fragrance, however if I was experiencing particular problems with dry or sensitive patches or eczema then I would definitely consider switching to it as Salcura are experts in this type of skincare.
Another good duo from Salcura, I would particularly recommend these products for dry or sensitive skins and I don’t think they’re overly priced for specialist skincare either.
Face Wash is priced at £10.99 for 200ml, available from Salcura.
Face Hydrator is priced at £11.99 for 75ml, available from Salcura.
