Roger & Gallet – Gingembre Rouge Sorbet Body Lotion

I’ve got another Roger & Gallet product review for you today, it’s Sorbet Body Lotion* from the Gingembre Rouge collection. I previously reviewed the citrusy Cedrat Sorbet Body Lotion last Christmas and really liked it, so I was really looking forward to trying out this candy pink variety.
The Body Lotion itself is a pearlised white cream – it’s just the bottle that is pink – but it’s actually nice that it doesn’t have any colourings added. ‘Gingembre Rouge’ translates from French as ‘red ginger’, although personally I don’t think that the fragrance is at all gingery, it’s more fruity with a sweet spicy undertone. The ingredients do include extract of Ginger Root though, plus nourishing Aloe Vera and Pomegranate Oil which is probably where the fruitiness comes from.
The Sorbet Body Lotion feels light and refreshing on the skin, perfect for the warmer Summer months, and the tiny pearl flecks within the lotion leave a radiance on the surface of the skin. To build up the fragrance you could layer the Body Lotion with the matching Shower Gel and Eau Fraiche.
Another great offering from French bodycare brand Roger & Gallet, it would make a lovely gift and it’s not too expensive either. This is a brand that I always consider when I’m planning my Christmas gift list.
Gingembre Rouge Sorbet Body Lotion is usually priced at £14 for 200ml but is currently on offer at Escentual for £11.90.
