Pure & Light Organic Essential Floral Toner Review

I hadn’t heard of Pure & Light Organic before I tried this product, so I’ve done a bit of research. The brand was set up by Agnes Donazy over a decade ago when she started to develop extreme skin sensitivity due to reactions to chemicals, so she decided to set up her own natural skincare brand. Pure & Light Organic products are 100% natural and non-toxic, and never contain unnecessary ingredients.

I have been testing out Essential Floral Toner, it’s a natural liquid toner that contains orange blossom, geranium and rosemary.

Pure & Light Organic Essential Floral Toner Ingredients

Essential Floral Toner is packaged in a tall, thin silver tube with a spray nozzle. I quite like the packaging it looks quite premium, and the box comes packaged inside a white branded cardboard box.

Essential Floral Toner is suitable for most skin types, and it aims to promote skin moisture retention and calm and soothe the effects of irritation.

I have been using it at night after cleansing my skin with Soap & Glory Peaches And Clean Cleanser, just spritzing a few sprays onto a cotton wool pad then wiping it all over my face – it definitely removes any traces of the cleanser and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry. The only downside of this toner is that I find the scent quite offputting. I had imagined it would have a lovely sweet orangey scent, but the scent of the geranium is quite overpowering resulting in a strong, sour smell. This is only my personal opinion though, if you like the scent of geranium then you’ll love it!

I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the Pure & Light Organic brand and I’d definitely look at trying some more of their products in the future. I love the fact that this toner contains 100% natural ingredients and it feels nice on my skin, but personally I don’t think I’d buy Essential Floral Toner as I find the strong smell quite off-putting.

UPDATE 17th Jan 2018 – it looks like Pure & Light Organic no longer produce Essential Floral Toner any more. Instead I recommend two of my favourite natural toners – Botanicals Hydrating Mist and Rose Water from Amelia Moss.
