Partylite – Escential Jar Candle in Iced Snowberries

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to a Partylite party by a friend. I’d never heard of Partylite before, but basically it’s a Party Plan type brand that sells candles via home parties and also via its website. The company was started in the US in the early 1900s and in the 1970s developed into a Party Plan business as a way of allowing US women to start working for themselves.
The party was good fun and our consultant was really knowledgable, explaining about the ingredients within the candles and how to get the best from them. Although the prices aren’t cheap the candles are really good quality and should burn for a long time with a clear flame – not giving off any soot like cheaper budget counterparts.
There are around 50 different fragrances of candles available, and the consultant had a small sample of each one so you could have a sniff and choose your favourite. I just loved the Iced Snowberries fragrance, described as ‘…the season’s first snowfall, a dusting of icy freshness coats sweet berries and fruits.’ That’s a good description actually, it’s a nice berry fragrance but with a cool undertone. The berry element to the scent makes it perfect for Christmastime, but it’s not spicy enough to be limited to the festive season alone.
I purchased an Escential Jar Candle in the Iced Snowberries fragrance and some fruity satsuma scented tealights too. I’m not too keen on the functional brown cardboard packaging, but I suppose Partylite don’t need to focus on their packaging too much because by the time you actually see it you’ve already purchased and paid for your product. Plus the corrugated cardboard will sufficiently protect the glass candles jars from breakages whilst being delivered.
I’m really pleased with my candle purchases, my Escential Jar Candle will be lit by the fire during the next few weeks.
If you’re interested in finding out more about Partylite you can visit their website, where you can also purchase their candles and home fragrance products.
Escential Jar Candle in Iced Snowberries is priced at £10.95, available from Partylite.
I will soon be reviewing some new candles from Voluspa’s 2013 Holiday Collection, keep an eye on Beauty Best Friend for that!
Never leave a lit candle unattended.
