Origins Ginger Blogger Event 2017

So last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the Origins Ginger event at my local Origins store in York. It was being organised on behalf of the store by my blogger friend Laura from Laura Knows Lifestyle who has recently become an Origins ambassador.
You’d be forgiven for missing the Origins store in York, it’s on the quirky Stonegate and it only has a tiny shopfront, but it makes up for it once you get inside as the beautiful ancient building goes quite far back making for a really impressive shop.
We were welcomed into the store by Laura and the staff with a glass of fizz and yummy chocolates, and Laura then gave a quick introduction to the brand and what we could expect from the evening.
I started off with a nosey at the room upstairs where they have recently started offering free facials. It was a stunning room, with exposed wooden beams and relaxing chairs custom-designed by Liberty of London. The facials have been designed so you can go along and have a bit of a pamper and try out the products, and you can even go with a friend which I think is a lovely idea for a girly afternoon out.
I then received a relaxing hand and arm massage using the Ginger body range. It has a lovely warming scent perfect for this cold time of year, with a citrusy note.
I also got chance to mingle with some local bloggers that I hadn’t met before which is one of my favourite aspects of going to events. The blogging community really is lovely and it was great to share our experiences of the Origins brand and discuss our favourite products.
Did you know that Origins is the UK’s No. 1 brand for face masks? I’ve used a few different Origins facial products over the past couple of years but my favourite is Clear Improvement, a black face mask that contains charcoal, and I love it so much I reviewed it in my top 3 face masks post a couple of years ago. I’ve heard really great things about Out Of Trouble too, this is a 10 minute face mask that helps problem skin when you’ve got a breakout, so I’m planning to treat myself to this next time I’m in store.
At the event I got to find out about lots of other products too and the staff were really generous by handing out samples of products in little pots so we could try them out before purchasing.
If you’ve still got Christmas presents to buy then Origins have some great affordable gift sets available such as the ones in the image above. They’re great value and would suit both females or males – Origins have a male grooming range, but I think that the majority of the products are fairly unisex and would suit anyone. In the New Year I’m planning to treat myself to an Origins facial in their stunning upstairs treatment room, and I’ll be able to experience some more of their fab facial products.
In the meantime if you’re anywhere near York why not pop in to meet the lovely girls who run the store and treat yourself to a facial or try out a new product?
