Organic Surge Lavender Meadow Shower Gel Review

Regular readers of my Beauty Best Friend blog will know that I am a big fan of natural skincare and that Organic Surge is one of my favourite organic brands. Organic Surge products contain no parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, no artificial fragrances or colourants and no genetically modified ingredients, neither are they tested on animals.

I decided to try out Lavender Meadow Shower Gel as I love the scent of lavender, I find it so relaxing. I had previously been using Organic Surge Citrus Mint Shower Gel but it was very zingy and Summery and I wanted something more suitable for the colder Winter weather.

Lavender Meadow Shower Gel lathers really well, compared with other sodium laureth sulphate (SLS) free products that I have tried it has the best lather (sometimes products that don’t contain the SLS soap ingredient struggle to work up a good foam).

I don’t love the fragrance as much as I had hoped I would, it contains geranium as well as lavender and I find that geranium smells a bit sour sometimes. It’s OK though, the lavender scent does come through and it’s nice for a relaxing before-bedtime shower, though for an uplifting morning shower I prefer the Citrus Mint variant instead.

The packaging is fairly simple, but it’s quite a large tube and lasts quite a while. Organic Surge Shower Gel comes in lots of other fragrances too, I’m intrigued to see what the ‘Fresh Ocean‘ one smells of – I think I might try that next!

Organic Surge Lavender Meadow Hand Body Wash

UPDATE 20th July 2017 – Organic Surge have changed all of their shower gels since I wrote this blog post. The Lavender Meadow Shower Gel has been renamed to Lavender Meadow Hand & Body Wash and repackaged in a pump bottle, but it’s still just as nice. Organic Surge Lavender Meadow Hand & Body Wash is priced at £6.75 for 250ml.
