Organic Surge Blissful Daily Moisturiser & Overnight Sensation Night Cream Review

I’ve been struggling to find a good moisturiser recently, so I decided to treat myself to this duo from Organic Surge. Organic Surge products contain no parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, no artificial fragrances or colourants and no genetically modified ingredients, neither are they tested on animals. If you’re a regular reader of Beauty Best Friend then you’ll know that I’m a big fan of organic skincare, and you may have already read my previous review of Organic Surge Orange Flower Toner (you can read that review here). I find that organic products are gentle on the skin and don’t over-stimulate it into producing lots of oil.

Organic Surge Blissful Daily Moisturiser

Blissful Daily Moisturiser – this is a thick white cream with very little scent and it does take quite a while to completely sink into the skin. Ingredients include lemon essential oil and aloe vera. You only need to apply a tiny pea-sized blob of the cream and then wait a while after applying it before applying make-up or your foundation won’t ‘stick’ to the skin. I have also found that on days when I’m not wearing any make-up my skin starts to feel oily later in the day. I would prefer it if this Blissful Daily Moisturiser was more of a light lotion, especially as it is for combination and oily skins, plus it would be great if it contained an SPF too. It does give skin a good drink, but I’m not sure if I would purchase it again as it’s a bit rich for my combination skin.

Organic Surge Overnight Sensation Night Cream Review

Overnight Sensation Night Cream – this is another thick white cream with a gentle pleasant scent of essential oils – it might be the scent of lavender coming through as the ingredients include lavender flower oil and shea butter. This Night Cream does sink into skin quite quickly and leaves skin with a strange matt texture straight after applying. The first couple of times I used this product it did make my eyes sting a bit, but I haven’t experienced this since, so either my eyes were just particularly sensitive at that time or they’ve got used to the ingredients. I do find that in the morning after applying Overnight Sensation Night Cream the night before my skin feels soft and clear. I have actually used this Night Cream in the daytime too if it feels like my skin needs a bit of a treat, as I don’t find that it’s too rich or oily. I really love this nighttime moisturiser, it’s really gentle and I will definitely be buying it again.

Organic Surge Blissful Daily Moisturiser & Overnight Sensation Night Cream

Overnight Sensation Night Cream is definitely my favourite of the two products and I would definitely purchase this again, but I do find the Blissfull Daily Moisturiser a bit too rich for my combination skin. Organic Surge also offer a Super Intensive Daily Moisturiser for dry and mature skins.

Blissful Daily Moisturiser is priced at £8.49 for 50ml, available from Organic Surge. Overnight Sensation Night Cream is priced at £8.99 for 50ml, available from Organic Surge.
