nspa Melting Cleansing Gel Review

I received this Melting Cleansing Gel from nspa in my Editor’s Picks collection box from Latest In Beauty. I generally use a wash-off cleanser in the morning and was running out, so this product arrived at a good time.

nspa is the skincare and bodycare brand that has been developed by Nirvana Spa in Berkshire, one of only three spas in the UK with its own underground reservoir of pure spring water. The product range has been developed to care for the skin and de-stress the mind, and none of the products are tested on animals.

Melting Cleansing Gel is a transparent peachy-coloured gel with a heavenly luxurious orange fragrance (the fragrance stays on your hands for a while after using). Use a hazelnut size blob of the gel and massage it into your face using small circular movements. It feels both silky and oily on the skin, I found it a really odd texture! The product can then be rinsed off the skin with warm water, the gel turns into a lotion on contact with water which is a bit strange. It does leaves a slight oily feeling on the skin after rinsing, which can be removed with a good toner (I hate feeling like my cleanser has left any residue on my skin). Given the silky, oily texture I think this would be a great cleanser for dry or dehydrated skin, but perhaps not so great for oily skin.

I do like this product but I find it a little strange, the silky texture is something I’ve never felt before in a cleanser! It’s certainly different to other cleansers and my skin does feel clean afterwards once I have removed any oiliness with toner. This Melting Cleansing Gel is great for removing makeup too, foundation and eye make-up just melt away. I’m not sure if I would buy it again though as I do prefer a regular foaming wash-off cleanser.

Melting Cleansing Gel from nspa is priced at £6 for 125ml and is available from ASDA stores.
