New Autumn 2015 make-up from Clarins

I can’t believe we’re talking about Autumn already! This year is just flying by, before we know it it’ll be Christmas!
Clarins have recently launched their new Autumn 2015 make-up range, a seductive collection focusing on the eyes. The new products allow you to easily transform from soft beige and fresh pink daytime shades to sultry evening looks with purples and carbon blacks.
I’ve been lucky enough to try out three of their new products:
Clarins Ombre Matte Eyeshadows* – these two eyeshadows have a unique cream-to-powder formula, so they apply smoothly like a cream but then have the hold of a powder. One of the ingredients is Bamboo Powder and this helps to give the shadows a matte and even finish.
The shades are called Carbon and Heather – Carbon is a dark shade, almost black, and should be used sparingly or smudged to give a sultry look, whereas Heather is a smoky purple shade and can be used all over the eyelid or stippled into the crease of the eye. Unfortunately the Heather shade doesn’t work well with my pale colouring and makes me look a bit like I’ve got black eyes (it would work better on a darker skintone), but the Carbon shade is great and I like to smudge it along both my upper and lower lashlines with a cotton bud to give a smoky sultry look.
Both shadows last a really long time without creasing or moving.
As well as these two new Autumn shades there are already 6 other shades of Ombre Matte Eyeshadow, I’d love to try the Nude Beige and Sparkle Grey shades.
Clarins Eyebrow Pencil* – there are three shades available in this new Eyebrow Pencil, I’ve been testing out the Soft Blonde (03) which, despite its name, is actually a medium brown.
The pencil has quite a firm texture – when I first tested it out by swatching it on my arm I was a bit worried that it might be a bit too hard and scratchy, but it actually works fine on the brows and as it is quite a hard pencil you can precisely outline the curve of the brow.
The opposite end of the Eyebrow Pencil has a spiral brush that you can use to groom and tame your brows before and after filling them in with the pencil.
As much as I like this Eyebrow Pencil I do prefer the Clarins Perfect Eyes & Brows Palette, which includes several cute little brow tools and a wax to help keep those pesky brow hairs in place.

As well as these three products Clarins have also launched two new shades of Crayon Khol eyeliner pencil and two new colours of Rouge Éclat lipsticks for Autumn, as well as this Limited Edition 5-Colour Pretty Day Eye Palette which I think is simply stunning:
Ombre Matte Eyeshadows are priced at £19 each, available from Clarins.
Eyebrow Pencils in Soft Blonde (and two other shades) are priced at £17 each, available from Clarins.
