Natural skincare from MooGoo Review

MooGoo is a brand that I first came across at The City Girls blogger event a couple of weeks ago in Leeds. MooGoo is an Australian natural skincare brand that was first made when the founder adapted a cream used in dairy farms to help a family member with a skin problem. Their products contain lots of natural oils and are not tested on animals – well, apart from the very first of their products that was created for cows!

I was lucky enough to receive this Full Cream Moisturiser, Milk Wash sample and Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Lip Gloss in my goodie bag at the event and I’ve been testing them out…

MooGoo Full Cream Moisturiser Review

MooGoo Full Cream Moisturiser – what can I say, I love this product! Whilst the packaging looks a bit gimmicky with the cows on it, and the cardboard box has been designed to look like a milk carton, the contents are really great. Containing Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Oil and Milk Protein which helps to increase skin’s elasticity this moisturiser is suitable for all skins, particularly those that are sensitive or irritable.

It’s quite a thick white cream, and you only need a tiny amount as it’s rather rich. It can be used on face and body – I love that it’s multi-tasking! It does have a bit of a natural milky, oaty scent which I’m personally not keen on but it’s great that it’s not had lots of fragrance added.

My skin has been quite dry recently after being in the sun a couple of weeks ago, and this Full Cream Moisturiser is really nourishing and really brings the tan out in arms and legs!

MooGoo Milk WashReview

MooGoo Milk Wash – this was a small sample so I was only able to use it for a few days, but I was really impressed with it. It’s a SLS-free face and body cleanser that uses a combination of 6 different natural cleansers. It’s a milky white colour and it lathers quite well to say it’s a natural skincare product, and it has the same natural scent as the Full Cream Moisturiser.

The full size product comes in a huge 500ml bottle and is really reasonably priced, particularly if you plan on using it for your face – it’ll last for months!

MooGoo Dusty Girls Lip Gloss

Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Lip Gloss – Dusty Girls is MooGoo’s new natural make-up brand, as with the skincare range all of the products are cruelty free and made using natural and mineral ingredients.

The Natural Mineral Lip Gloss comes in two shades, I’ve been using the Sun Shower version. I just love the packaging, the cardboard box opens up like a little drawer…

MooGoo Dusty Girls Lip Gloss Review

The ingredients include natural oils and micas, and a gentle peppermint flavour, making it completely safe if you happen to swallow some of it!

Sun Shower is a clear gloss with a hint of pinky shimmer, you can wear it alone or over a lipstick.

It feels slightly oily on the lips, in a good moisturising kind of way, but it’s definitely not thick, sticky or gloopy.

And here’s what it looks like on my lips:

Personally I prefer a lip gloss to have a bit of colour to it, but this Natural Mineral Lip Gloss looks great layered over a pale nude lipstick.

MooGoo is stocked throughout Australia, Ireland, Malaysia and the US, but expect to see it within the UK shores soon as MooGoo are currently looking for UK stockists. They already have a great UK website though if you can’t wait any longer to check out this great brand.

Full Cream Moisturiser starts at £9 for 75ml, available from MooGoo.

Milk Wash is priced at £11.90 for a huge 500ml bottle, available from MooGoo.

Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Lip Gloss is priced at £9, available from MooGoo.

  1. Your site is the one I’ve started to visit for honest skincare reviews actually!! (: Thanks so much – I like your first person review…

  2. Oh I love products with coconut oil. I sometimes use it as a base for my make up in the morning.

    • I’ve not tried coconut oil on its own yet but I am thinking of buying some to make my own lip scrub. xx
