Miners Tin O Tint Strawberry Review

When I think of the brand Miners it reminds me of the very first eyeshadow palette I had as a little girl (a cast-off from my Mum!), it was a pale blue duo and I used it when I was dressing up. Fast forward many years and I had pretty much forgotten about the brand, but they’re starting to make a come back.

I was sent this cute little Miners Tin O’Tint Strawberry to try out, it’s a tinted lip balm and I just love the little round tin and it will be great for keeping earrings in when the lip balm is finished.

The first thing that struck me with this product is the lovely strong strawberry scent (I’m a sucker for anything fruity).

This Miners Tin O’Tint does have quite a strong red tint which is great, I often find that other tinted lip balms don’t actually have much colour to them. You can build up the colour on your lips by applying more of the lip balm, or just keep it quite sheer if you prefer. I’ve been applying it with my finger, but you could apply with a small lip brush if you want a perfect finish.

My lips are quite dry at the moment as I’m just recovering from a cold, so you can see one or two patches on my bottom lip where the colour has gathered. Hopefully the moisturising properties from the Strawberry Tin O’Tint will soon sort out my dry lips, it feels quite rich and soft on the lips.

The ingredients incude liquid paraffin (also known as mineral oil), a regular inclusion in many lip products, but some people prefer to try and avoid this ingredient – if you’re one of these people this isn’t the lip product for you. The other major ingredient is Ethylhexyl Palmitate, which comes from palm oil.

Overall I think this is a great little product, and it now costs JUST £1, NOT £2.99 like on the flyer above. Strawberry is the newest addition to the Tin O’Tint family, there are 6 other fruity flavours to choose from (I’d love to try the Pink Grapefruit flavour next). It fits easily in a purse or handbag and it would make a lovely gift or stocking filler for someone.

Miners Tin O’Tint Strawberry is priced at just £1 and is available from Click Health & Beauty.
