MeMeMe – Eye Inspire Mono Eyeshadow in Mirage

This Eye Inspire Mono Eyeshadow from MeMeMe was in my June Glossybox. I’d never tried any MeMeMe products before so this was a first for me. On first impressions I was pleased with it though, the packaging is nice and simple and the colour, Mirage, is a nice neutral brown colour.
Eye Inspire Mono Eyeshadows are little round individual pots of pressed powder eyeshadow with a lift-up hinged lid, in simple, classy black packaging (you can’t beat black packaging for make-up!).
The eyeshadow is a nice soft powder with a creamy texture, extremely easy to apply with a brush or a sponge applicator. Mirage is a neutral mid-brown colour with a pinky-orange undertone, and a bit of shimmer. It does look a bit darker in pot than it does when applied to the eyelid but I suspect if you wanted a richer colour you could apply it with a damp brush to get a deeper tone.
The image below on the left shows Mirage worn on it’s own, all over the eyelid, just with a coat of mascara. The image below on the right shows Mirage worn on the inner eyelid paired together with a dark grey shimmery L’Oreal eyeshadow on the outer corners of my eyelids. I have found Mirage is a bit too orangey for me on it’s own, but it does work really well with the grey, so this is how I have been wearing it.
The Eye Inspire Mono Eyeshadow lasts fairly well without creasing too, overall I have been pleasantly impressed with it. The orangey brown colour would work well with both blue and green eyes, and pairs well with grey shadows too as demonstrated above. The shimmer can be quite intense – the swatch image below shows how Mirage looks when it catches the light, a very small amount would look great blended in just below the browbone if you are wearing a dark smoky eye.
MeMeMe is a budget-to-mid priced cosmetics brand, with a good range of make-up, nail varnishes and tools. A lipstick is priced at £8.50 and nail varnishes start from £5.
UPDATE 31st Jan 2018 – MeMeMe Cosmetics no longer offer a mono single eyeshadow, but their Quad Eyeshadows are really pretty and offer 4 co-ordinating baked shadows in one compact.
