MeMeMe Cherubs Blush Cheek & Lip Tint Review

This full-size 12ml bottle of Cherub’s Blush Cheek & Lip Tint from Me Me Me Cosmetics came in my October Glossybox. I’m not one to use liquid tints generally, although I have used Benefit’s popular Bene-tint on occasions, but I was wondering if this product could convert me.

Cherub’s Blush is a dark red liquid contained within a little bottle – it looks a bit like a nail varnish bottle and it has a brush attached inside the lid just like a nail varnish bottle too. The liquid tint can be used on both lips and cheeks to give a rosy tint, just by applying a dab with the brush and then blending it with the fingers.

The swatch image below shows how the tint looks when it is first applied, and then after it has been blended.

The first thing I noticed about this product after taking the swatch images is that it REALLY stains the fingers! This put me off Cherub’s Blush a lot – who wants to go out with perfectly applied make-up and dyed red fingers? Certainly not me. (It does wipe off a windowsill quite easily though…. don’t ask!). I also found the colour quite weak and watery and I don’t think it is really dark enough to use on the lips although it would give a nice rosy tint to the cheeks.

Unfortunately I didn’t even get as far as using Cherub’s Blush on my face, as I was put off it after trying it out for the swatch images. I also read on the ingredients list that it contains 5 different parabens – I would like to see MeMeMe replace these with an alternative more natural preservative.

If you like using tints as part of your make-up ritual then I would recommend you stick with Benefit’s ever-popular Bene-tint. At £25.50 it’s much more expensive than this Cherub’s Blush, but the quality is worth every penny.

Cherub’s Blush Cheek & Lip Tint is priced at £7.25 for a 12ml bottle, available from MeMeMe Cosmetics.
