London Butterflies Bodycare Review

I’d never heard of London Butterflies before I was sent these luxurious bodycare products to try, but the first thing that impressed me was the beautiful packaging. From the pretty printed boxes with silver printing to the heavy glass jars inside, everything here has been thought about really well.

The London Butterflies range is split into 4 distinct collections – Naturals, Florals, Fruits & Facial – and I have been lucky enough to try out products from 3 of these collections:

London Butterflies Whipped Body Cream

Whipped Body Cream – this is from the florals collection and you will know why as soon as you smell it! The ingredients include Winter Jasmine and Starflower with Sweet Almond Oil. It’s a light white body cream with the perfect jasmine scent – I usually go for fruity fragrances over floral ones but this one is so delicate and pretty that I defy anyone not to like it!

It feels really luxurious when you massage it into the skin and it sinks in really quickly leaving skin feeling silky smooth and with a lingering floral scent. I like to rub this into my skin after a long soak in a hot bath, it’s a lovely treat for the body and makes me feel quite special when I apply it.

London Butterflies Bath Salt Scrub

Bath Salt Scrub – this is from the Naturals collection, the ingredients include Dead Sea Salt and Sweet Almond Oil. It’s a body scrub to help refresh and brighten the skin, but unlike some other scrubs it’s not harsh at all and the grains of salt slowly melt away so they don’t scratch the skin.

Despite being called Bath Salt Scrub I prefer to use this in the shower rather than the bath as I don’t like the thought of sitting in all the dissolved salt, as the shower quickly rinses the grains away leaving a silky oily residue on the skin. You don’t need to apply body lotion after using this product as the skin is left soft, supple and moisturised by the Sweet Almond Oil. The only thing to watch out for is to make sure the glass jar is positioned somewhere secure and safe and DON’T try to pick it up in the shower with wet hands – you don’t want it slipping out onto the shower tray (or ever worse, your foot) as it’s extremely heavy!

London Butterflies Body Butter Souffle

Body Butter Souffle – this product is from the Fruits collection and I think it has to be my favourite of the three. Made with British Tundra Berries (whatever those are!), Meadowsweet and Golden Jojoba Oil it has a bittersweet scent that reminds me a bit of cranberries. The thick pink cream feels luxurious when you apply it to the skin and the skin feels silky for ages afterwards. I like to apply it to the tops of my arms, then I keep getting whiffs of the beautiful scent as I move about.

London Butterflies Bodycare

I’ve been really pleased with all three of these bodycare products from London Butterflies, and whilst they’re certainly not cheap they really do feel quite luxurious and they’re perfect for treating yourself or someone else. The whole range has been carefully put together, and I look forward to seeing what else this new brand comes up with in the future.

UPDATE 12th September 2017 – Sadly the London Butterflies website is no longer up and running, however there is a selection of London Butterflies products available at Odette Beauty, all priced at £29.99 for 170ml.

  1. Loving the look of these lotions and scrubs. The scrub looks more appealing to me, specially if its not as harsh as normal ones x

  2. I love the look of these, I’ve not heard of the brand before however they look super impressive! Really luxurious. They’re a little pricier than what I would normally go for, but it’s nice to have a little bit of luxury isn’t it.

  3. These look beautiful what gorgeous products 🙂 Xx
