L’Occitane – Verbena Moisturizing Hand Lotion

Today I wanted to share my favourite hand lotion with you… this is what I have on the side of the sink in my bathroom – Verbena Moisturizing Hand Lotion from L’Occitane. This hand cream smells so lovely and lemony, plus the bottle looks great in the bathroom with its traditional style label.
I have been using Verbena Moisturizing Hand Lotion for ages. I first discovered it in the toilets of a rather swanky office in London where I used to go in a previous life for meetings as a marketing manager. I always used to make my excuses and pop to the toilet just to put on some hand cream! Fast forward a few years and now everyone who visits our home tries it and comments on how lovely it is!
The lotion contains organic verbena extract – verbena is a lemony scented plant – and this is what gives it the heavenly scent. Only a little squirt is needed for the hands, as a little goes a long way with this product. The hands feel quite oily at first after applying and it does take a while to completely sink into the hands, but it is well worth the wait!
My only complaint with this hand cream is that despite it containing so many natural and organic ingredients, it still contains methylparaben. I would love for L’Occitane to dump parabens all together and focus on more natural alternatives.
Verbena Moisturizing Hand Lotion is now packaged in a new square bottle, but it still looks great and has a similar green label.
Verbena Moisturizing Hand Lotion is priced at £16 for 300ml and is available from L’Occitane. Other products in the Verbena range include shower gel, eau de toilette and handwash.
