Living Nature – Summer Bronze Pressed Powder

I was recently contacted by Living Nature to see if I was interested in trying out their Summer Bronze Pressed Powder*. I hadn’t heard of Living Nature before this, but being a brand that only uses natural ingredients I was really excited to try out this product as I am currently on a mission to replace all of my everyday skincare and make-up products with natural equivalents.
Living Nature was launched in 1987 in New Zealand. Their products contain no synthetics, use only 100% natural ingredients, preservatives and fragrances and are never tested on animals. Their full range of cosmetics and skincare is Certified Natural by BDIH Germany, and their policy is ‘if there is any doubt about the safety of an ingredient, we don’t use it’.I love their philosophy! They also harness a lot of New Zealand’s native botanicals like Manuka Oil, Hallo Clay and Kelp and use these within their products.
The Summer Bronze Pressed Powder is housed inside a nice black metal compact along with a small brush. I love the fact that the brush can be stored inside the compact case, this saves you from having a loose powdery brush in your make-up bag or handbag and means this product is great for using on-the-move. The pressed powder has Living Nature’s round logo imprinted into it, another lovely little finishing touch.
The bronzing powder can be used on the face and the body – I have been wearing it on my cheeks, forehead and nose, but you could also brush a thin layer over chest and shoulders on a Summer evening, in fact anywhere where you would naturally catch the sun.
The colour of the bronzer is a lovely mid-bronze tone, it has gold shimmer particles in it as you can just about make out from the close-up image above, but the shimmer doesn’t really translate to the face which is good as I wouldn’t usually want shimmer in my bronzer. It gives a lovely golden glow on the skin when applied with the little brush, just apply thin layers building up gradually until you have the lovely sun-kissed colour you want.
I have applied the bronzer in quite a thick layer on the swatch image below to clearly show the colour of the product.
Overall I feel that Summer Bronze Pressed Powder is a great bronzer – I love the fact that it is made with natural ingredients and the little brush inside the compact is a great little added extra. I will be using this all Summer long and will definitely be trying out some more products from Living Nature soon.
The full range of Living Nature products can be purchased from their website, transactions are converted into New Zealand dollars (NZD). If you want to grab a bargain the Summer Bronze Pressed Powder is also available in the UK from Naturisimo priced at £22.10.
