KOREAN BEAUTY Isiloe Premium – Absolute Whitening Effect

I am currently taking part in an initiative working with BNT News International, a global beauty/fashion/lifestyle and entertainment source based in Seoul, South Korea. I am helping BNT to promote a selection of new and exciting Korean beauty products to a UK audience, these are products that you probably won’t have seen before and some of them are really different and unique.
You may have already seen some of my previous Korean beauty reviews, such as this post about Ginseng Royal Silk Watery Cream from Nature Republic.
Today I am reviewing Isiloe Premium Absolute Whitening Effect system, a system of three skincare products that promise to whiten and brighten the skin. I’ve said before in my Korean skincare reviews that ‘whitening’ the skin is a very Asian thing, over here in the UK everyone wants more tanned skin – not whiter skin! But I think that ‘whitening’ is possibly the wrong term for a lot of these products and could put people off over here – they don’t necessarily fade the skin to make it lighter, they brighten it by gently exfoliating and evening out the skintone.
The first thing that struck me about this set is the packaging, the products come nestled on white satin inside a beautiful sturdy white gift box. This skincare set certainly looks the part, but how does it work?…
There are three parts to the whitening system and therefore three products – Enriched Softener, Enriched Cream and Enriched Concentrate, and they should be used in this same order after cleansing. The ingredients of all three include quite a lot of natural ingredients such as extracts of Sophora and Mulberry Root to help brighten the skin, Papaya extracts to maintain the luminosity of the skin (thanks to its mild exfoliating function) and vitamin C to enhance elasticity. The whitening ingredient is Alpha-Bisabolol – a natural alcohol which has a gentle whitening effect on the skin when used over time.
I’ve been using the Isiloe Premium Absolute Whitening Effect system for just over a week now. It’s not long enough to see the long term benefits of the products but my skin does feel a little bit smoother than before. I had a dry flaky forehead caused by too much central heating and damp blustery weather, but this has cleared up quite a bit since starting the Isiloe system, I suspect it’s partly due to the exfoliating effect it has on the skin. I have to admit that my skin doesn’t look any whiter yet, although I’m quite pleased about this as my skin is already fairly pale! I would have been surprised anyway if the whitening effect had starting taking place after only a few days of using the products.
As Isiloe Premium Absolute Whitening Effect is a fairly new product from Korea I can’t yet find anywhere in the UK that stocks it, but I’m sure if you keep an eye on sites like eBay and Amazon they’ll be popping up before long!
