How to be stress free with Kneipp Stress Free Herbal Bath

I love a nice hot bath to help me unwind – it has to be surrounded with lots of candles and with some relaxing music on. I don’t usually use bubble bath as I find it can dry my skin out, but I first received this Kneipp Stress Free Herbal Bath in my Dream Box in May 2014 (a collaboration beauty box from British Beauty Blogger and Latest In Beauty) and as it’s a natural product and doesn’t contain any soap I thought I would give it a go.

Kneipp is a US brand, set up by naturopath Sebastian Kneipp in 1891. All of the products are based around natural oils and there are a fair few of these Herbal Bath products all containing different oils with different benefits.

You don’t need to add very much of the Stress Free Herbal Bath oil to the bath, about one capful should do it. My first thought was that the colour is extremely vibrant and orange – you wouldn’t want to spill it on anything, and be careful as it is prone to drip and dribble! Once in the bath it gives the water a very pale orange tint and it does add a tiny bit of foam to the surface of the water but this soon disappears.

The product contains Mandarin and Orange oils which I was surprised about as citrussy scents are usually uplifting and stimulating rather than relaxing. The fragrance is really lovely and orangey, although not too strong which is nice.

I have used this Kneipp Stress Free Herbal Bath many times now and I really love it. I don’t find that it relaxes me physically or removes stress from my body, but it leaves me feeling really uplifted and positive so I would say it definitely helps to remove negative feelings from the mind. It’s a product that I always look forward to using at the end of a long, hard day. The only downside (apart from the potential mess from a spill) is that it does make the bottom of the bath a bit slippy so be careful when getting in and out, and don’t try to wash your hair in the bath whilst using this bath oil as it will leave an oily residue on your hair.

Kneipp Stress Free Herbal Bath Review

If you’re not keen on bubble baths then I’d recommend giving Kneipp Stress Free Herbal Bath a go, it’s a great alternative but shouldn’t dry out or irritate the skin.

Kneipp Stress Free Herbal Bath is priced at £9.95 for 100ml, available from Holland & Barrett.

Kneipp also do a jar of Balancing Lavender Bath Crystals which I would love to try as I adore the scent of lavender, these are £8.95 for 500 also available from Holland & Barrett.
