I ♡ Makeup – Lipstick in Rising Pulse

If you’ve not heard of I ♡ Makeup before it’s the little sister of budget brand Makeup Revolution, and it’s just as reasonably priced. Before I started blogging I had a dim view of budget make-up brands and thought that you got what you paid for (you certainly used to) but in recent years a number of great quality budget make-up brands have taken the beauty industry by storm.
This is I ♡ My Lips Lipstick in Rising Pulse, and the reason I was drawn to it is because the lipstick is in the shape of a heart! (I’m very easily pleased!). I thought it was a great novelty, but wasn’t sure whether the heart-shape would make the lipstick difficult to apply.
Rising Pulse is a pale nude shade, it has a creamy texture but looks quite matt on the lips. The vanilla flavour is pleasant, and doesn’t taste/smell artificial like some lipsticks do.
In the image above you can clearly see the heart shaped lipstick. I don’t find that it’s difficult to apply to the lips as the end is flat, however I’m not sure how long the heart shape will last. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and the heart shape is still intact, but as the edges of the lipstick wear down it may lose the heart effect.
You can see from the image above that I ♡ My Lips Lipstick in Rising Pulse is quite pale, making it perfect for those with pale skin. I really like it, I usually go for more glossy finishes but you could add a slick of clear lipgloss over the top if you wanted more of a shine.
I’ve been wearing it with Clarins Lipliner Pencil in Chocolate which is a bit too dark really, I need to invest in a nude lipliner pencil – any recommendations?
I really like this I ♡ My Lips Lipstick in Rising Pulse from I ♡ Makeup. I love the heart-shaped lipstick, and if you like a novelty then you could do worse than treat yourself to one of these. I’ll definitely be checking out some of the other shades soon.
I ♡ My Lips Lipstick in Rising Pulse is priced at £2.49, available from Makeup Revolution.
