Grace Cole Fruit Works Pineapple & Passion Fruit Lip Balm Review

I was recently contacted by bodycare brand Grace Cole to see if I would review some of their products. You might think you’ve never heard of Grace Cole but chances are you will be familiar with some of their ranges and products – high end Boutique range, fun fruity Fruit Works range or the pretty Glitter Fairies range for little girls.

I was sent this cute little Pineapple & Passion Fruit Lip Balm* from the Fruit Works range, I just love the little tin and it will be great for keeping little jewels and trinkets in when the lip balm is finished.

The first thing that struck me with this product is the lovely fruity scent (I’m a sucker for anything fruity). It’s not a strong overpowering fragrance, it’s quite subtle and gentle, but it smells tropical and Summery just like a can of fizzy Lilt (do they even make Lilt any more?).

The texture of the Pineapple and Passion Fruit Lip Balm is quite buttery and you do have to rub your finger into it quite a bit to get enough on. I have been applying this Lip Balm at night befrore bed and my lips still feel moist when I wake up in the morning, which is something you don’t experience with a lot of lip balms.

This Fruit Works Lip Balm from Grace Cole reminds me a bit of The Body Shop’s popular lip butters – the fragrance isn’t quite as strong, but it has a similar texture and is cheaper too! It does contain Mineral Oil though (Paraffinum Liquidum) so if this is a product that you prefer to avoid in your skincare then this maybe isn’t the lip balm for you.

Overall I think this is a great little product, fantastic value at just £2 and there are 6 fruity scents to choose from (I’d love to try the Coconut and Lime flavour next). It fits easily in a purse or handbag and it would make a lovely gift or stocking filler for someone.

Fruit Works Pineapple & Passion Fruit Lip Balm is priced at just £2 and is available from Grace Cole.
