THE GIVEAWAY HAS NOW ENDED.
Wow, look at the contents of this Look Fantastic 1st Birthday Beauty Box*! Look Fantastic is one of the leading online British beauty retailers and they produce a monthly beauty box full of goodies. I was lucky enough to receive one of their September 1st Birthday boxes full of amazing skincare and haircare products worth £55.
Read on to discover what was inside, and find out how you could WIN your very own 1st Birthday Beauty Box as I have one to give away…
The Beauty Box is a thing of beauty, it’s a white cardboard box with bright sparkly hundreds and thousands printed onto it and lined with blue tissue paper. It contains 8 (yes, 8!) products, which is at least 2 or 3 more than most beauty boxes that are available at the moment.
This month they were a selection of skincare and haircare products from leading brands. I would have maybe liked to see a make-up item or two to mix things up a bit, but other than that it’s a pretty good box!
So, what was inside the Look Fantastic September 2015 Beauty Box?
Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet & S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum – I’ll start off with this duo from Caudalie. Caudalie Vinosource is a range whose ingredients are blended with organic Grape Water to help hydrate and soothe skin, and Caudalie’s products contains no parabens, SLS or mineral oil which is great.
The Moisturizing Sorbet is a gentle moisturiser for sensitive skin, the ingredients also include calming Chamomile. It can be used day and night and helps skin to retain its natural water reserves. A full size 40ml tube of Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet retails at £23.
The S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum is a lightweight oil-free serum that captures and diffuses water deep within the skin, to prevent dehydration. This sounds like it’s going to be perfect for my dehydrated skin! A full size 30ml bottle of Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum is priced at £29.
Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash – I have to admit that Bliss is a brand that I didn’t know too much about so I had to do a bit of research – originally a spa in New York’s Soho area, Bliss has since developed its own range of products. Fabulous Foaming Facial Wash is a two-in-one oil-free exfoliating wash for all skin types, the ingredients include rose hips, chamomile and passion flower. I like to use a wash-off foaming cleanser in a morning as it’s so quick and easy, and this one sounds like it’s going to be great. A full size 60ml bottle of Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash is priced at a bargainous £7.
Tanworx Tan Maintainer – I’ve actually already reviewed Tanworx Tan Maintainer last year when I was working with Monu Skincare to review some of their tanning products. The strong fragrance put me off a little bit, but it’s a great product that does what it’s supposed to. If you want you can read my full review here. A full size 120ml tub of Tanworx Tan Maintainer retails at £14.
Codage Paris Crème Gommante – translated as ‘scrubbing cream’ this Crème Gommante is a rich cream containing fine rice particles which remove impurities and dead skin cells, whilst stimulating cell renewal. The cream contains no parabens or phthalates and is cruelty free too. I love a good face scrub and I like the fact that this one contains natural rice particles rather than man-made ones. This product isn’t currently available on the Look Fantastic website, but there are lots of other skincare products from Codage Paris on there which start at £23 for Codage Paris Micellar Water.
The final three products are all haircare:
Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme Cream Conditioner – this is a leave-in conditioning cream perfect for heat-treated hair. It provides thermal protection up to 220ºC to prevent breakage and split ends and shields from humidity, leaving hair smooth and frizz-free. I regularly straighten my hair and this product sounds like it would be perfect to protect it from the ravages of the GHDs. A full size 100ml bottle of Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme Cream Conditioner is priced at £26.50.
Sebastian Professional Penetraitt Shampoo & Conditioner – this little matching mini-set of shampoo and conditioner from Sebastian Professional would be perfect to put in a cosmetic bag and take away on holiday with you. The shampoo is a rescue formula dedicated to strengthening and repairing over processed, chemically treated hair, and the conditioner is formulated with an active rescue system which penetrates deep into the hair structure to rebuild and repair your hair.
A full size 250ml bottle of Sebastian Professional Penetraitt Shampoo is currently on offer at £9.10 (usual price £14). A full size large 1000ml bottle of Sebastian Professional Penetraitt Conditioner is currently on offer at £30.23 (usual price £46.50).
